What I thought to be 8 weeks and 3 days, actually is measuring to be 6 weeks. They found a healthy yolk sac, is it possible I’m just earlier than I thought? Any help or responses are truly appreciated...my LMP is Nov 29 2019 and not sure when I ovulated, possibly around December 13th...but has to be later seeing I’m measuring 6 weeks

I’m sorry this is happening to you. Even at 6 weeks it would be unusual not see a heart beat. Are they taking bloods 48 hours apart?

Sorry your going through this OP. This sounded very similar to when I had my miscarriage. I went for a scan thinking I was 7+2 but they could only find a healthy sac, no fetal pole or heartbeat. They said it measured around 5 weeks and that I was probably just earlier than I thought. They asked me to go back for a rescan 2 weeks later so they could check for growth/a heartbeat. However I began bleeding a week after the appointment and never made it to the rescan before I miscarried. Have they asked you to go back for a rescan or check your bloods? I wish you all the luck in the world because I know how hard the wait can be x

Thank you so much and they are taking blood...just not 48 hrs apart because I said I would wait for the rescan in a week! She mentioned that no woman knows the “exact” time of ovulation, so I could be earlier than expected!

I appreciate all the support! My faith and motherly instincts say I am fine, the wait is the worst!

It is definitely possible, I've heard it happen like that before. My own personal experience is that my little babies grow really slowly for the first month or so and I'm always behind by a couple of weeks but then they have a mega growth spurt and catch up again.

It's all a waiting game now and I wish you all the luck in the world xx

I'm so sorry about this scary time OP but hopefully all is fine!

I had fertility treatment and knew the EXACT day of ovulation/conception, and still when I went for my early scan they scared me to death saying it was over a week smaller than it should have been and there was no heartbeat yet.

Baby turned out to be fine and size had caught up by 12 weeks - i'm now 36 weeks.
Wishing you all the very best xx

Thank you for all encouragement it truly means a lot! Thank you lyingwanker and Mol5! Also thank you MrsB16! The nurse did mention that, that the only way most women know exactly when they conceive is if they went through IVF! Didn’t have this problem with my first angel but I am aware that every pregnancy is different so I keep my faith strong and waiting patiently! I will update everyone as soon as I can! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I had a scan at 6+3 and we seen the heartbeat .but im sure they're is cases where it's. Not seen at this stage and everything is fine I hope everything turn out good op.

Lea878917 · 28/01/2020 15:54

Thank you so much fluffies and Babyg1995! Yes like I mentioned I saw my daughter at 6 weeks and about 2-3 days but I also found out I was having her later on... with this pregnancy I knew as soon as I missed my period so I believe I may be just rushing the process..because I did ask for a early scan because I had fibroids with my daughter and wanted to keep an eye on them as well.
