8 weeks belly?

Heya,

Midwife estimated that I am 8 weeks pregnant but I feel like I am either carrying a litter or further along.

My belly looks alot bigger than photos of other people I have seen...

What do you think?

At 8 weeks, the embryo would still be safely tucked in your pelvis. It's either bloat (which is notorious in the first trimester), or you're farther along.

Does it feel squishy or hard? Squishy is probably/ possibly just bloat. More firm, and you might be further along...

Heya @physicskate thanks for the reply it feels quite firm especially the further down it is a bit smaller in the morning and bigger in the evening but always a bump, I have sent a pic to my midwife to see what she thinks and I have a blood test with a nurse tomorrow so might ask them too haha x

Without meaning to be too crude... Are you constipated?
I know with all our period tracker things we use it's pretty hard to get our dates wrong now. I'm 7 weeks and I'm crazy constipated which is definitely making me feel bigger than I should be!

I was the same.
It's all bloat if you are defo 8 weeks. The baby is soo teenie it wouldn't cause a baby bump.
I looked 5 months when I was only about 10 weeks mainly bloat!!! So uncomfortable.
I'm now almost 33 weeks and huge lol.

Heya thanks I hope I am just bloated it's wired because they took my date from my last period but I told them that my last period was crazy light spotting so not sure I think I am either 12 weeks or 8 looking at perid dates or 10 weeks or 6 weeks looking at ovalation dates lol who knows, I am just so excited hehe

I was huge (bloated) at 6-12 weeks, the ''bump' was pretty much same size as my 20 week proper bump!
That went down around 12 weeks, then steadily started to grow properly. If you look at the size of foetus at even 12 weeks, you can see how tiny it is, its also still well inside pelvis.

I was in maternity jeans by 8 weeks with a hard swollen stomach - regardless of what size the baby was. I think this is perfectly normal x

Haha I am in maternity jeans too now that's for letting me know I'm not the only one x
