I just found out I'm pregnant. And Although a surprise, this has now become a very wanted baby by myself, daddy and inner family.

I have my first appointment with the midwife on Friday. But I have a quick question, and hopefully you experience folk can give me some peace of mind.

I have been spotting for the last 2 weeks, really light, brown, with cramps (I only took a test on Friday because I thought it was my period starting).

Is this normal? I've ready implantation bleeding only usually lasts around 4 days.

So worried already that I'm going to mess this up, and we're not even off the starting line! Scared, excited and clueless.

Thanks you so much,

Rachel

Pregnancy tests can show as positive for weeks after a miscarriage. If you are experiencing bleeding you should go to your local EPAU (early pregnancy assessment unit) who can assess you and possibly do an early scan. I hope it all works out for you Flowers

With my first pregnancy I didn't bleed at all between conception and bloody show.

With current pregnancy I had one fairly heavy period (4w?), then a very heavy bleed and contractions, (7w?) then light daily spotting until 11 1/2 weeks.

Baby is fine so far.

So do check with the Midwife, but don't assume something's wrong.

I think at 6 weeks they might be able to see something on a scan at the EPU if the pregnancy is viable? But be prepared to be told to wait and see. It's such a frustrating time but there's really nothing anyone can do at this stage, what will be will be. Good luck and I hope it works out!

I bled for around 2.5 weeks from when I found out I was pregnant (at 3 weeks).
I did have one very heavy red blood bleed at around week 7 or 8 but went to the doctor and they checked me out and adviced that I was likely still pregnant (which I was). I then bled brown blood on and off until I hit week 11.

I'm now 14+6 and haven't had any blessing since.
Good luck OP!
