Start of Miscarriage or stomach bug- please help

Hi all, 9.5 weeks pregnant and today for first time felt sick all day, tonight about 8pm started to get very bad pains in my stomach and have been sick and emptied by bowels several times, despite being sick the pains have not passed and are so so bad, waves every minute or so. Had thought it might have been a stomach bug but the pains in my stomach and tops of my thighs - sharp cramping are really worrying me. Havnt had an bleeding but keeping an eye on it- any help?

It sounds like you need to go to the doctor asap whether or not it's a miscarriage. Hope you're ok.

I cant say for sure, but I went through a miscarriage late last year and my first symptom was blood, it wasnt until a couple of days had passed that I had any cramps or pains and they were severe, try not to stress and worry to much, while I know it's easy to say that, it wont help your situation to worry before you know for sure what's happening, I hope for you the best outcome, sending much love

Having had both stomach bugs without miscarriages and miscarriages themselves... really, it's hard to know. Calling OOH sounds a good call. Have you been seen yet?

They just said watch and wait and stay at home drinking fluids and contact usual GP today or attend A and E If bleeding starts. Said it could be either also, managed an hours sleep there will the cramps subsided a little so hoping no bleeding starts and it’s jusy a bug. Il contact my own Gp later this AM but can’t imagine their advice will be much different x thanks for all your support x

I had similar around 7/8 weeks with painful cramping in my lower abdomen, sweating, throwing up and diarrhoea....it passed after a day or 2 and I had a scan a week later showing baby was fine with a strong heartbeat etc so i guess it was just a stomach bug.

Maybe follow up with your own GP later today? it could be a stomach bug, but abdominal pain could also be a sign of an ectopic?

You poor thing it's so stressful and worrying. I've had an awful stomach bug in pregnancy and I've also on a different occasion had a miscarriage but I will say bleeding was my first symptom and then the awful cramping arrived. Rest and take care of yourself
