I keep waking up at night Sad it’s usually around 2/3am.

Is this a pregnancy thing or something else?

I wasn’t like it before I was pregnant

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Yesterdayforgotten · 27/01/2020 03:40

Natures way of preparing you for having a newborn...that's my theory anyway as I currently feed mine!

userabcname · 27/01/2020 03:49

Yep...babies love this time of night! I say as I feed my 3mo.

timswifey · 28/01/2020 22:57

I'm getting exactly the same thing. I'm 6 weeks and if I wake up in the night it takes HOURS to fall back to sleep.

Always seems to be 2:30-3:30am wake up 😴

Lalla525 · 29/01/2020 02:51

I'm up. Hod knows why as I'm absolutely behind with sleep.

Lalla525 · 29/01/2020 02:51

*God

LatteLover12 · 29/01/2020 03:28

I'm up too.

I've been waking up at 2/3/4am since a couple of days before my bfp.

I'm only 6 weeks pregnant 😩😩😩

Dinosauraddict · 29/01/2020 03:59

Currently 34 weeks pregnant and tonight I have been awake since 12.30am with no hope of getting back off. Have gone and cuddled up in spare room so as not to disturb DH (again)...

Yesterdayforgotten · 29/01/2020 08:39

If this is your first babys please enjoy naps and sleep and rest oh and time to yourself when you can because some babiea really don't sleep alot at all. I have a newborn and a toddler and dont think I've had a full night's sleep in years, if only I'd known in my first pregnancy that the sleep I was getting was actually quite good in comparison Shock

Yesterdayforgotten · 29/01/2020 08:41

Hope I didnt scare you because you could be one of the lucky ones and have a baby that's sleeps through the nigh. I think my babies just dont sleep 😴

JiltedJohnsJulie · 29/01/2020 08:43

Get used to it OP. My DS was 5 before he started sleeping though.

Smiffette · 29/01/2020 08:44

This is so me at the moment! Last night was the worst I've had so far!
Woke at 2 am by 4 I was still awake so went downstairs so not to disturb DH.

Didn't get back to sleep 😴 today is going to be tough!

21+2

bluemoon2468 · 29/01/2020 08:53

I'm 4 weeks and for the past week I've had terrible sleep, waking up all through the night. I'm usually such a good sleeper.

@Yesterdayforgotten wish I could take naps - I might not have kids yet, but I'm out at work 12 hours a day 5 days a week, which combined with getting barely any sleep and feeling sick ALL DAY is not going well. Wish I could crawl under my desk and have a nap every afternoon 😴

Yesterdayforgotten · 29/01/2020 10:16

Hi @bluemoon2468 oh yes it's tough, I've been there but at least I could rest on weekends and evenings but it was a culture shock how relentless having dc is! It's so worth it though and i I wouldnt swap it for the world!

Yesterdayforgotten · 29/01/2020 10:19

Oh I also didnt believe anybody when they told me and would think oh right I'm sure it's not so bad and I'm tired now working fulltime and being pregnant. I have to admit now I know that they were talking about now I have 2 dc ans I dont know how people who have 3 or even 4 dc on top of working do it!

puds11 · 29/01/2020 10:19

It’s practice Grin

Treacle81 · 29/01/2020 11:05

Yup I’m the same, around 4 weeks I think, used to sleep like a log, for the last 3 nights struggling to sleep and waking at 3am bright as a button 🤨

ShopoholicIn · 30/01/2020 03:26

39+1 today and same here rarely get a full might sleep up from 2:30 to 3.30 or even longer..

bluemoon2468 · 30/01/2020 03:36

Wide awake 😳 work today is going to be fun 🙈

Jessie9323 · 30/01/2020 03:57

24 weeks pregnant and woke at 3am with both my pregnancies. Found I slept better after the baby was born!

Yesterdayforgotten · 30/01/2020 04:07

Jessie9323 your babies must sleep really well...mine are little night owls 😴

Jessie9323 · 30/01/2020 08:43

@Yesterdayforgotten my son is 1 on sat and sleeps 7-7 has done since about 5 months. I count that as very lucky haha. However I also work nights and shifts so am used to surviving on 2-3 hours sleep!

Leebeemarie · 30/01/2020 14:44

I'm so glad this isn't just me, I'm 13+2 and been happening for about 8 weeks now, I wake up at least 3 times in the night and only usually once to pee now.

Mumm2bee · 30/01/2020 17:20

Yep!
I'm 8+3 and have been waking up at 4am on the dot for the last week, I blamed it on the dog being a fidget bum but its definitely not her!

sel2223 · 30/01/2020 18:41

Omg so glad it's not just me! I'm 11+5 and my sleep has been really disturbed since about 6 weeks.
I just can't get comfy and wake up a good 2 or 3 times every night. I'm knackered so it's not like i don't need the sleep!

LatteLover12 · 30/01/2020 19:00

I've been on the sofa for the last couple of nights. I still wake up but it feels a bit more manageable than when I'm in bed. I think I get really self conscious about tossing and turning next to DP.

Side note: I can now addd evening sickness into the joy of the small hours 😩😩😩
