Hi all
My husband and I recently discovered we are expecting our first child! Woop
It's been a long-ish journey getting pregnant so naturally I want to keep it under wraps until 12 week scan.
One of my first symptoms apart from sore boobs were period like cramps. My GP said this is normal and it's just my uterus stretching but it's quite painful! Is this common? I'm trying not to worry but they are very painful and I generally have a high pain threshold...I'm probably worrying over nothing but as it's my first, I dont really know what's normal and what isnt. The cramps last maybe 5-15 seconds 3-5 times a day. No bleeding. It's just the pain severity that's making me uneasy. Don't want to ask anyone I know as it'll give the game away.

TIA

Very normal. When I first found out I was pregnant I was adamant the test was going to say negative because I thought the cramps were the start of my period! Just try not to stress as at this stage stress is not good! Baby will be absolutely, have faith 😊 congratulations!! (Also pregnant with my first)

Oh, and drink loads of water! It helps the muscles stretch with more ease. For the meantime, put down any fluids that isn't water and just drink drink drink!

Yep I had this for the first few weeks. Sometimes so bad it woke me at night. It stopped about 7 weeks and baby is fine.

I had cramps at the beginning in my two previous pregancies, but now I am worried because I have zero cramps in my pregnancy. I am 5 weeks and a few days. Cant remember how many weeks I was when I had my cramps in previous pregnancies.
Is it normal to NOT have cramps??
