Can you tell me what happened when you bled, eg were you offered a scan, had to stay in hospital or were offered steroid injections in case baby came early?
I bled a lot early in pregnancy 9-14 weeks but then stopped save for minor minor spotting.
Last week had a massive bleed of bright red blood which has continued on and off for about a week. Been checked at hospital plus had anti d but not had a scan. I’m 24+4.
Obviously I am extremely worried not been advised to rest or anything just no idea what I can do if anything😔

Hi,

I did not bleed throughout my pregnancy until I got to 22 weeks and I started to bleed bright red blood. I called my midwife who advised me to go to hospital and I was checked visually and admitted overnight even though the bleeding stopped to make sure I didnt bleed again.

They listened to the heartbeat of my baby about 3 times and did a scan to check all was ok then discharged me.

They never found out why I bled, apparently sometimes it happens.

I'm surprised they didnt scan you, what did they say?

Do they know WHY you bled? Do you have a low lying placenta?

Sorry you're going through this.
I can't believe they haven't scanned you. I'd go back and not leave until they scanned me and listened to baby's heartbeat!
Can you afford a private scan?
