34 weeks, loosing mucus plug?

I am 34+2 weeks today, I started getting a mucus discharge yesterday and I had a show of blood, I have a cervical stitch in so have had show of blood before which wasn't anything to worry about. I also started getting mild cramps in my lower back, I am currently in the MEU waiting to see a doctor to see if it is early signs of labour. Has anyone else experienced anything similar, any words of advice would be great. I am no stranger to premature babies as my first was born at 26 weeks and this pregnancy has also been quite complicated. Was hoping I could get to at least 37-38 weeks.

I don't have any advice but I'm in a similar situation, closely watching how things go.. 😬 Hope you are ok! X

I had this from 33 weeks and was told that your plug can regenerate itself. They gave me steroid for the baby and everything seems to have settled down I'm 35*6 now . Hope everything is okay

Thank you for your replies, everything seems to be fine, my cervix was checked with a speculum and doctor said there was quite a bit of discharge which is common and especially due to the fact u am using cyclogest pessaries. Also she did the test to see if I was going into early labour which came back negative thankfully, keeping a close eye on things.

@Mummy2beAT yes I also heard that but due to my history of having a pre term labour I was so scared. I think I may have over done it with my toddler, he is a very energetic boy and can be a handful. Wishing you all the best, not long left now x
