40+3 and fed up!

Urgh. Title says it all, I guess. I'm 40+3 today and absolutely fed up. I had a sweep on Thursday (was 1cm dilated), another booked for Tuesday, and if nothing happens, won't be induced for 9 days after that.

My husband has been locked away all weekend marking mock GCSE papers, the weather's crap and the new nursing bras I've got are bloody killing me... Can you tell how angry I am at the world right now?! 😆

It's so strange to be anticipating something so much, yet be terrified of it at the same time and not even know when it's going to happen...

Anyone else in the same boat and want a vent?

I'm nearly 37 weeks so not as far on as you nor probably as uncomfortable but feeling like a big anti social grump because everything is hard and tiring!

Family keep messaging saying hope to see me soon but that makes me so annoyed because I don't feel like I should have to make an effort to go and see them at this stage and if they want to see me, they know where I am 🙈

Hoping you get some signs soon of LO being on the way, it's so weird to be so out of control of a situation that we're so invested in

40+4 here and completely get it, both want this baby to be out and want her to stay in! People are just really irritating me as well

Same boat OP! I'm not quite at 40 weeks but I've had it in my head that she will be early for so long that I've accidentally dug myself into a bit of a hole.

I'm so grouchy and fed up ("oh, DH being moody can be an early sign of labour too!!!" Hmm) but yes equally can't quite believe an actual baby is coming out, and equally scared of the avalanche of hard work coming our way.

I'm also getting very fed up of everyone having OPINIONS on what I should/shouldn't be doing with my baby, and those OPINIONS being so much more valid than my own because they have done it before and I can't possibly make my own mind up about what I want for my own baby!

41+2 here! Booked for induction on wed! Feeling cooped up and frustrated with the world Grin! Barley moving off the sofa, which won't be helping things along!

Thanks ladies, it's nice to feel I'm not the only one, at least... God, if one more person messages to 'ask how I am' (ie OMG hun wasn't baby due Thursday why isn't it here yet?), I think I might kill something....

Wishing us all healthy babies soon, to avoid a potential massacre...!

Ah yes the classic 'any sign of baby yet?'

"Oh yes, had her last week, did I forget to mention?"
