Hi all. I'm 16+5 on my first pregnancy and this morning I felt some small spasms inside at (more or less) the level of my belly button but on the left (I was lying on my left side). They were quite fast, then stopped after a few seconds. Could those be first movements? I've been waiting for bubbles popping (I don't know what flutters are) but still no clue how and when should feel something.

Could be! Honestly, my first movements felt like being pinged with a teeny tiny elastic band, so I don't know that you need to worry too much about whether it's technically a fluttering sensation or not.

Sounds like it could be. I felt the first movements at around 17 weeks and it felt like a twitch just beneath my belly button, like a pulsing sensation. It only lasted a second and I didn't feel it again until a couple of days later.

I'm 19+5 now and feel it everyday. It's still the same feeling but happens more often. I've never felt bubbles popping or fluttering. I feel more on the left side now (just to the left of my belly button).

They definitely could be as everyone feels things differently so what other people have felt might not be what your little one is into 😊
Mine was more a swirling sensation and just a feeling of 'knowing' something was there or happening but couldn't quite pin point it until it got stronger

I would've thought that is too high up to be the baby

Sounds a bit high to be baby. I’m 23 weeks and only just getting kicks by my belly button.
