how would you go about finding one and what would you expect from them?

id sstart with doula uk, do a search on your area under their find a doula page and then get emailing/calling!

in regards to what to expect, it depends, are you after a birth or postnatal doula?

normally you will meet your doula for an initial chat/interview and if you both gel and you book you normally meet around twice before the birth, she will attend your birth and then once after for a postnatal visit. ~If you are looknig for a PN doula then she will come for an initial meet (as above) and then you will both work out the hours/days/times that you would like her to work and go from there.

if i can be of any help just pm/mail me.

You might find one on here- If I had the cash i'd use a local one who is a MN poster.
