Anyone 3-4 weeks?

Hi 😊 I'm just transferring over here from the conception thread. DH and I found out we were expecting baby #1 yesterday afternoon with a nice, strong BFP at only 8DPO! Stronger line this morning then stronger again this afternoon. Very early days for us at 3+3, but I'm already having very bad nausea and was sick in the night last night. Would love to connect with some other ladies just starting their journey to support each other through these nervous and exciting first few weeks!

I'm currently 4 weeks.. exhausted and nauseated!
I'm feeling very nervous though, it's probably normal! But I won't feel 100% ok until I have my first scan!
It's baby #1 for me and my husband too :) x

@LWMB hi 🙋‍♀️ nice to meet you! I'm absolutely exhausted as well. Can't believe I'm having symptoms this early! I'm nervous too, but mainly excited at the moment. Are you planning on waiting until the 12 week scan or do you think you'll go for a private one earlier?

I really am not sure what I will do. I haven't seen my GP yet. I will probably book an appointment for Friday when I'm nearing the 5 week mark and then discuss with her. I would like to go for an early scan. What are you planning on doing?
I'm surprised at my symptoms too. I was absolutely fine up until yesterday when the tiredness hit me.. I'm already in bed and it's only 7.30! 😂 x

I'm going to call the GP on Monday to make an appointment - usually takes weeks where I live so I feel like I need to get the ball rolling! I will definitely be going for a private scan, there's no way I can wait until 12 weeks. Will probably aim for around 8-9 weeks as I'd like there to be something clear to look at 😊

@bluemoon2468 I might do the same! My husband keeps telling me to be patient as it's very very early on, but I can't help but dive ahead at looking at early scans etc. It's all the excitement i guess!x

@LWMB yeah I'm very much intentionally going down the path of positive thinking and getting excited. I'm naturally a worrier and if I go down the path of worrying about everything that might go wrong and panicking at every cramp and twinge I'll have a miserable pregnancy and stressed baby 😕 I'm already thinking about baby names and nursery colours haha.

Hi ladies, how are you doing? Phoned GP today and was surprised to learn that I don't need to go in - in fact all being well I won't be seen until 10 weeks for my midwife booking in appointment!

@bluemoon2468 yeah the midwives deal with everything now!
I've handed in my midwife form. Things are a bit different for me though because my consultant will see us at 9/10 weeks as well.
I'm really wanting a 6/7 week scan though so if they won't do one I'll pay for one.

@Treaclepie19 I've just referred myself to my hospital as well. Looking forward to getting the date for my first appointment 😊 I'll be getting a private scan done early too - just need to decide the best time to have it done...

Me! I’m 4 weeks. Conceived really quickly as well so that was a shock! Been to the GP today, been told to contact midwife directly to get booked in. I’m planning to get a private scan too, falling pregnant has awoken an anxiety in me I never knew existed! I won’t make it to 12 weeks without worrying myself sick!
