Abnormally large bump?

Hi 👋🏽

I'm currently 15 weeks and have a very large bump! This is my second pregnancy and with my first I didn't have much until 20 weeks. With this one, I had to wear maternity jeans from 6 weeks.

I have only put on 2 lbs the whole time. I am a naturally small and slim person so maybe that is why, but I still can't shift the worry that something is wrong?

Any help and advice would really be appreciated :)

You might have polyhydroamniosis or whatever it's called
Have you had it measured and also can we see maybe you just feel a bit insecure or it's a big change for you but it's not a big belly

Your body knows what to do this time so you start changing shape a lot quicker then with your first.
Your midwife will tell you if there is anything to worry about but I'm sure it's fine.

Thanks for your replies ladies. I intend to speak to the midwife but my 16 week appt is 2 weeks late due to lack of appts at my surgery! Have attached a picture of both my bumps at exactly the same point in pregnancy. One at 14 and one at 15 weeks.

I just find it weird that I've only put on 2lbs but I'm massive! 😂

I don't think you're massive at all! I think it's just a bit bigger than last time, possibly because your stomach muscles are not as strong (after first pregnancy) so it's not being held in as much.

I don't think you're is abnormally big at all.. I was double the size and I'm 32 weeks and still getting bigger lol.
I was measured to be measuring 5 weeks ahead so was sent for a scan at 30 weeks to check the amount of fluid around the baby.
Baby wasn't measuring too big and fluid all looked fine. Some times you just have a bigger bump! My other 2 pregnancies I was big but nothing like this... I was doing my own pedicures still at this time but I can't even put my own shoes on without a struggle or help lol

Not sure how true it is but I was told that bumps tend to appear quite a bit later in first pregnancies than in subsequent ones....Something to do with the body remembering what to do so getting bigger quicker.
