Cot recommendations

I’m looking to buy a cot for my new baby - are there any particular models you’d recommend? I’m not sure what I’m looking for really, other than I’d like something that will last them for as long as possible for financial reasons!

I have got one from amazon its a cot bed but not as chunky as other cot beds so perfect if your limited with space. We had the exact same one for our 3 year old too which did him till he was 2.. It would of done him longer tbh but we wanted to get him a different bed. I'll pop the link below for you to have a look it's also not too dear either. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B018II9RW2/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=AVJP6ZHJQ59N6&psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

I got this one from wayfair. Nice and sturdy and I like the bed it turns into.

Ikea! It's sturdier than it looks. Decent price and easy to build. Also easy to adjust the base to the lower level when baby can stand. I did it 8 months pregnant by myself in 10 mins 😁

That's great, thanks all!

A friend has also offered to lend me her Snuzpod bedside crib - has anyone used those before? How long do they last before the baby outgrows them? I'm guessing I will need to buy a new mattress for it too?

Yes new mattress.

It depends how big Your baby is I guess? My best friend has a snuzpod. Both her kids moved into full size cots around 4/5 months because they out grew it but others it's lasted 6+ months. She really liked it because the too bit it detachable so you can move it around the house in the day for naps etc

We have a next2me right high lasted to 7 months with ds2 and Ds currently 11 weeks is in it now

I was looking at the ikea ones. Reasonable prices and standard sizes for bedding like cot sheets etc x
