Just found out I'm pregnant... very dark line

Hi everyone 😊 I found out that I'm pregnant yesterday, 3 months and 2 days after the first day of my last period. I'm over the moon! The line was very clear and came up almost immediately with afternoon urine not FMU. I've just taken another test (5am the next day) and the line is even darker and came up instantly. According to natural cycles I ovulated on CD16 which would have put me at 8DPO yesterday when I got my relatively strong positive - that just doesn't seem possible considering the strength of the lines?! I've also been feeling very nauseous for 3 days, and last night I was actually sick. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know what to expect.

Has anyone experienced anything similar so early on? Did I ovulate earlier than NC suggests? Am I having twins? 😕

I tested very early. Instant dark lines and for me it was twins

And I was horrendously sick and tired from day one.

Twins are not that hard, especially if it’s your first ones are you don’t know any different. Congratulations on your pregnancy

I tested early and had the dark line too - again, we have twins!

I was also v nauseous for first few months.

Twins are great OP! We actually found the first 18m pretty easy going and as we didn't know any better we just got on with it - hardest thing for me was all the attention we got wherever we went for the first couple of years. Now they are almost 7 it's a new set of challenges but still amazing!

The earliest anyone has ever implanted is 2dpo. If this is the case for you then it's possible for the dark lines. Congratulations! P.s. I has 2-3 weeks on clearblue digital before my af was late and it was a single pregnancy so do not panic just yet.

Took my test yesterday, Last period was 28th December.. Got a clear blue test coming today.. To double check aha

I had a dark line early with my last pregnancy. I was a week further than I thought. I must have ovulated early. But it was just one baby

Don't worry. My line was darker than that - as dark if not darker than the control. I was about the same number of days along. I had a very successful and easy single pregnancy.

Fabulous, really great to hear these stories from everyone 😊 Obviously we'll be thrilled either way - given the number of people on here I've seen struggling to conceive, I would never moan about being lucky enough to have one or two healthy babies - would just be a bit of a shock as there are no twins in either family, I'm young(ish) and we conceived naturally!

I had the same and I'm having one baby. I also had zero pregnancy symptoms after the initial queasiness the week I tested.

I had a clear line and even came up on a clear blue digital at 8/9 dpo and I am having twins (identical so no family history required). I didnt get sick until i was 8 weeks.

Some women naturally get high HCG levels and only have one baby so could be either way.

Congrats OP! Your line isn't really that dark, mine was like as dark as the line on the right when I took my test and just one baby :) Good luck though!

Dark immediate line here, also around 8-10 DPO, single foetus, don’t read too much into the line strength or timing,

Its a decent line, but it's not that dark (both of mine were the same or darker than the controls). I think perhaps you've seen so many posts on here about squinters that you've come to think of a very faint, barely there line as the norm, whereas it's probably more like yours.

My dark lines were singletons, though one was a very early ovulation in my cycle/double ovulation/camping sperm. And I feel sick from before I miss my period.

@Hugtheduggee that's true. I've come to think really faint lines is the norm. I think it's just because yesterday when I got my BFP I still wasn't due AF for 6 days so just seemed remarkably clear.
