Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a little more information or advice in regards to SMP.

I have worked in my current job since September. I am on a zero hour contract and am 14 weeks pregnant. I just don't know where I stand with my rights and am getting a little worried.

I meet all the criteria for SMP but I know that my employer is not going to want to pay me for not working (I work in hospitality). As I am on a zero hour contract they can just stop giving me work. Do my employers pay all the SMP or do they claim back from the gov?

If they do get rid of me - what other benefits would I be entitled too?

I don't really have anyone to speak to a work as we currently don't have a HR department. So any advice would be greatly appreciated! ❤️
