Weird pains in belly when moving/sneezing

Hellooo I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and if it’s normal or if I should contact my midwife?

It’s mainly when I’m lying in bed, if I move onto my side I get sort of a tugging pain in my abdomen, it feels kind of like a pulled muscle but not (I am terrible at descriptions Hmm)

I also get it sometimes when I sneeze, I get a sharp pulling type pain for a few seconds which then goes away. Once it’s gone I can’t feel it anymore so I don’t think it is a pulled muscle.

Is this normal? This is my first baby so I’m so overly aware of all these changes!

Hi yes it's normal, it's called round ligament pain. I get it when I sneeze or move inba weird way. Only lasts a second or so.

Asked my midwife and looked on Google. All normal.

How many weeks are you? I'm 13+5 and don't have it as bad as I did at 10 ish weeks.

I’m 19 weeks and still get the shooting pain down there for a couple of seconds when I sneeze! And as I suffer from allergies this occurs about 15 times a day! It’s ligaments apparently x

Yeah I agree I think that sounds like round ligament pain, I've read about it. I had it really bad early on, like 6-9 weeks, hardly ever get it any more (I'm nearly 12 weeks now)

I have had this as well. This is my first so I'm analysing everything! This morning I had some weird feelings of my stomach actually stretching Confused and when I sneeze I feel like I have to hold my tummy! I'm 14 weeks x
