Third child, horrendous nausea

Currently six weeks pregnant with number three and the last week every single morning till around lunchtime time I have had the most horrendous nausea. No actual
vomiting but all I can do is lie in bed with the curtains closed!

It was not at all like this with my first two. I am eating a bit when I wake up but it isn't helping at all! Has anyone else had this in one pregnancy and not others? I have several work trip coming up and I can't very well spend half the day in my hotel room 🤣 help!

Yes! I have three DC and the sickness got worse every time! It did get better at 12 weeks though.

Oh no! No number four for me then!! I feel cheated by my body, it didn't pull this nonsense the first two times!

I was the same this time around. Debilitating nausea, no vomitting. Not able to do anything other than feel sorry for myself. Nausea eased off about 7.5 weeks. It vanished entirely and now is back (9 weeks) but much milder!

bobstersmum · 24/01/2020 10:33

Same happened with me. Are your first two boys by any chance? My first two were boys and had no nausea. Third was a girl and I felt ill for months.

bobstersmum · 24/01/2020 10:34

The travel bands helped me massively! From boots, pressure point things.

badg3r · 24/01/2020 11:50

@bobstersmum yes two boys already! I'd heard morning sickness is worse with girls but wasn't sure if it was just an old wives tale. Have just bought some travel bands and after ten minutes am cautiously optimistic. Luckily my job is very flexible so heading in only now, while I feel a bit more human!

I was also going to ask if you had two boys. Definitely a girl, OP...

badg3r · 24/01/2020 11:54

I will report back!!

Had horrible nausea, had medication to stop the throwing up but the nausea was worse. Try peppermint oil on a tissue, chewing gum/smints. Sorry you are feeling so rotten, mine didn’t go till 20 weeks (sorry to be a Debbie downer!).

MsChatterbox · 24/01/2020 12:48

I loved my travel bands. Was very nervous to stop wearing them when the nausea got better!

Monstamio · 24/01/2020 14:39

Yep, 10 weeks pregnant with no 3 and was hospitalised with hyperemesis last week. Nothing like my first two babies (both girls incidentally) where I just had normal ms. I'm on my third set of drugs and hoping things are going to get better soon. Sad

DramaAlpaca · 24/01/2020 14:44

The nausea got worse in each of my three pregnancies. The first two were boys and the third was... another boy Grin It didn't go until around 20 weeks either.

badg3r · 24/01/2020 17:08

Oh no @Monstamio, that's sounds terrible. Hope you feel better soon!

I had to call my DP to come get me from work because I was really dizzy and had pins and needles, on top of the nausea. It is a long time since I have been so grateful to be lying in a dark quiet room on a Friday night!

@DramaAlpaca three boys, cool! I have more or less presumed this baby will also be a boy since that is all I know!

My sickness was unrelated to the baby’s sex. I had BGB and the sickness got worse with each pregnancy.
