Really confused.. I'm 16+2 weeks and have no idea how it works. I'm eligible for SMP although only contracted 16hours, but do between 20-30 each week. How do I go about claiming this?! I can't find anything online 🧐

If you're eligible for SMP, it's up to your employer to arrange it and pay it to you. You will get a MATB1 form around 18-22 weeks from your midwife, give that to your HR at work and that should be it. Fingers crossed!

Agree with previous poster, read your employee handbook speak with HR or your manager and agree dates.

You will need your MATB1 certificate.
