I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I'm 10 weeks 5 days and this is my first pregnancy. Morning sickness hit me at 5 weeks 6 days. I've been bed bound ever since, signed off work and throwing up more or less every single day. I've had maybe 2 or 3 good days in between. I'm so fed up of feeling constant nausea and throwing up. I throw up between 3 - 5 times a day and I'm mentally and physically exhausted. The last 5 days have been the worst, I'm unable to keep anything down including water. Is it normal for morning sickness to peak at 10 weeks? When can I expect some relief? I feel like I'm slowly falling into depression, I'm absolutely miserable. The doctor prescribed Cyclizine which made me feel worse so I've stopped taking it.

Any advice would be appreciated

You need to get onto the hyperemesis support group there’s one on here somewhere.
I feel for you I had Hyperemesis in my first pregnancy and was utterly miserable and such an awful low mood by the time it finally stopped.

If you can’t keep anything down you need to get checked by your GP you might be dehydrated and might need some IV fluids so get checked. Also Cyclazine never worked for me either if anything I vomited more with it than I did without it I was put on different anti sickness drugs there are a few that can be used in pregnancy. Have a look for the hyperemesis board though I think you’ll get the support you need on there Flowers

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but... yes. Mine was at its worst between weeks 12-16. I had hyperemesis. On the plus side, when it eventually went away I felt amazing and had a much better end of pregnancy.

I really feel for you OP! Pregnancy sickness is so horrible. I was exactly the same as you, so sick and bed bound with it until I was about 11 weeks! It did slowly get better from then and now at 19 weeks it's so much better. I tried cyclizine but it made me feel worse too. There are different anti sickness tablets that you could try though 😊 definitely get checked that your not dehydrated if you can't keep water down. I found mints helped me! I would get annoyed when people would ask me if I had tried ginger and stuff like that as none of it worked but mints or chewing gum really did help. Sucking ice cubes are also worth a try.

It will get better and this won't last forever, remember that 😊 I was so down and upset and couldn't see the end but there was an end eventually.

I feel for you OP, I'm the exact same. I'm 12 weeks and the nausea has been constant and I'm sick between 2-4 times per day. Some days are better than others like you said.

I find when I'm keeping busy it helps but so hard to do that when you want to crawl into bed none stop.
