When should I expect a call to arrange my booking appointment?

I have had an initial phone call from the midwife when I self referred. The phone call was two weeks ago and she advised that a midwife would ring me in at couple of weeks' to arrange my booking in appointment. I'm 6+1.

In my previous pregnancy I had a call in my fifth week of pregnancy and had my booking appointment at 8+1 and she was very keen that she didn't want it much later.

When should I expect a call? Am I being impatient? Or should I chase it up? I'm a teacher and if I can only be seen during working hours then I need to be able to give my employer enough notice that I need my class to be covered.

Your booking appointment should be between 8 and 10 weeks. I expect you will hear in the next week, they are probably still catching up from Christmas.
