I had my 12 week scan today. I don't think the photos are especially clear, but I'd be interested to see what anyone thinks and if you can tell me what I'm supposed to be looking for.

I'd like to know what to look out for aswell. I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow! Your scan photo looks lovely can really see the outline of his/hers face, so cute!

The thing circled is the nub. If it's got a slight point up it's a boy. If it's straight (like that one) it's a girl.

I never understood the nub theory until my friend who's a midwife explained.

So, am I right in thinking you can't see the nub in my scan picture?

@allthesharks I don't think you can. That scan picture is from my private scan.

I've checked my NHS 12 week scan and you can't see the nub on it. And you can't see the nub on any of my SIL nhs scans either.
