Is this pain normal?

I'm 13+1 and earlier today my stomach got really hard and I had severe abdominal and back pains. I laid down and they improved a little but didn't go away.

Now about 3-4 hours later I still have aching in my lower back similar to period pains (I feel as though I really am about to come on my period). & also pains in my stomach which feel tight and really uncomfortable.

Is this normal or should I be worried? Any answers would be appreciated as I'm quite concerned as usually when I lay down any pain goes away completely.

Thanks :)

I've had pains on and off throughout, it's usually either wind or growing pains. Have you been going to the toilet ok? I still get pains and I'm 21 weeks!!

It's more likely to be wind/digestive pains as everything slows down when you're pregnant.

If you're still worried you can phone the hospital number on your notes and talk to a midwife or try and speak to your community midwife tomorrow.

Personally I would give your local maternity helpline a call.
