Hello,I will be 12 weeks tomorrow but yesterday started having bright red bleeding. It wasn't really heavy but was more than spotting, more like a light period. The bleeding stoped over night but I'm now having a brown discharge.I have a scan booked in tomorrow, should I be preparing myself for the worst or is it still possible baby could still have a heartbeat and all could be well.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and replies x

Hey, call EPU at your hospital and go for a scan?

Here for support x

Definitely possible baby is fine! What you describe is something lots of healthy pregnancies go through. Glad you have scan booked. Good luck

I have already rang them and they said they can't fit me in and I have to wait for my scan which is booked tomorrow.I just hate not knowing and worrying, constantly going to the toilet and checking for blood.

Try not to worry. Bleeding can be quite common. I bled at 14 weeks for about a week. Found out at 20 week scan that It had been caused by placenta previa which rectified itself by 32 weeks.

Whilst I don't think they work as a 'medical grade' option. You could pay for a private scan today - babybond is one company I know of. About £60. Then you can at the very least hear headtbeat today and give you some peace of mind not having to wait 24 hours

How are you OP?

Dljen · 02/02/2020 08:09

Hello, sorry for delayed response been really busy.Everything was fine and they said they couldn't see any reason for the bleeding and it was just one of those things.Thank you for checking in ☺️ x
