Anyone had regular growth scans with previous pregnancy and their suspected huge baby turned out not to be that big when born?

SIL had regular growth scans as she was measuring 3-4 weeks ahead from around 28 weeks. Her DD was born 5 days early weighing 7lb 14. X

i was expecting a small baby according to frequent growth scans and i had 8lb7 chunk.

and ds1 was going to be big but was born 6lb2. so i wouldn't put too much thought into it.

Yup I just posted on another ladies post about this! The week before I got an emergency induction they had said baby was big for age, 7”12. Baby came out 7”3 and being a week later was likely even smaller in the scan when it was done at the time! I was so worried when they said she was going to be big, especially as I had a few health issues at the time including gestational diabetes!! So I really thought I was going to have a giant(till I found out I had to get the emergency induction)
