Pregnancy symptoms on mini pill?

Hello!

New here but seemed the best forum for advice. Been taking the mini pill for around 4/5ish months, the only one I can take due to migraines. I didn’t really have any symptoms atall on it for the first three months, odd spotting and no periods. And over the past two weeks, everything has changed.

I had some bleeding on the 1st, and the following few days that was very light. Followed by the next week what seemed like a period, but definitely not like my usual. I’ve had sore boobs this entire time, aswell as noticing that they are now ( suddenly !) covered in veins too. My lower stomach has started protruding as though period bloat but it doesn’t really seem to go. Along with this, more frequent headaches, extreme tiredness and nausea. Definitely not as hungry as usual. Serious mood swings too, plenty of crying!Shock I’ve taken tests, two cheapies and two first responses ( first responses a week apart ) , all of which have come back negative (Cheapies maybe a second line or evap?) but I can’t shake the feeling of it. Anyone experienced anything similar?

I was taking it regularly on time for a good while but have been irregular in the past. :/ why would all these symptoms show up now?

All these symptoms sound like what I experienced on it. I threw in the towel after 6 weeks because I couldn't cope with it anymore.

I’m glad I’ve stuck at it this long. I haven’t had a single problem with it up until now, when all of these have shown up. I just don’t get it! I thought it was really good but now I’m just concerned. Especially with the guidelines of it settling down in around 3 months, this is just bizarre.

Have you taken a test?

Some people cope better on certain birth control pills than others. I'm on Yasmin, and have never had a negative side effect (in fact, it's just made my periods regular to the hour, and completely cleared my skin), but other pills batter me.

It is a shame that you are struggling with this. I would personally give it another couple of months, as your body may get used to it, but after that perhaps try a copper coil?
