Hi all

Just wondering what everyone's weight gain was during pregnancy. I'm currently 25 weeks with my first and just weighed myself for the first time since I conceived and I have already put on 2 stone! I feel like this is too much considering I still have 15 weeks left!! What was everyone else's experience?

Thanks
X

I had gained 1 stone 4 pounds at 32 weeks - I stopped weighing myself after that so God only knows what I weigh now! 😩😂

I think everyone is different. I’ve always struggled with large amounts of weight gain and loss throughout my adult life so I’m trying not to worry about it and risk getting obsessed again. As long as bubba and you are healthy that’s the main thing :)

I'm 37 weeks and have gained 1 stone 5lbs. Hugely surprising as I havent been eating great and I dont exercise much Blush although I have stretchmarks pretty much everywhere. My BMI was high end of healthy when I got pregnant. Everyone is different so if your midwife isnt concerned then I wouldn't be either. Just watch out got excessive gain quickly as it can signal other problems Smile

I gained 20kg in pregnancy. I started at 57kg (I’m 1.69m tall) so it was quite impressive! I didn’t have gestational diabetes, nothing at all wrong with me, had a biggish baby but nothing crazy (3.8kg) and all the weight melted off in the first six weeks PP as he BFed voraciously. I wouldn’t stress too much, OP.

I gained 2 stone in total, gave birth at 37 weeks and dropped 1 and a half within 24 hours, so was carrying alot of water. Still struggling to shift that half stone 6 months later...

I put on just under 2 stone.

Ok thanks all!

My Midwife hasn't raised any problems and all my tests have been fine so far. I can't say I've been the healthiest I've ever been though so I am definitely going to try and manage what I eat better! X

I gained just over 4 stone, currently 9m PP and 3 stone down. I ebf so its not been too hard to shift. I havent be left with any additional stretch marks or saggy skin either which surprised me. Congratulations on your pregnancy! The weight gain is worth it
