Does anyone have any knowledge of APS?
In 2011 I had a pain in my chest and was admitted to hospital as they tested my blood and thought I had a clot. Gave me heparin injections and scanned me a few days later and there was no clot. Nothing more was done.
After that I started ttc. I had three chemical pregnancies over three consecutive cycles, paid privately to see a specialist but in the meantime, I read about aspirin helping women with miscarriages so started taking it. By the time I got to see the specialist I was pregnant again. He advised me to carry on with aspirin and I had a healthy dc
I didn't ttc again until recently. Got pregnant and had a mmc at 11.5 weeks diagnosed three weeks ago. Had an erpc and they sent the tissue away for testing. I mentioned to the doctor that my only healthy pregnancy I took aspirin. She advised to have a test for APS done 5 weeks after ERPC. I went to my gp today and asked if results from sending the tissue from the ERPC were back. She looked at them and said it mentions blood clots but not clear if the clots were because of the miscarriage or had caused it. She said we'd know more after the test which she'd do in three weeks.
Does this sound like they think I've got APS? I'm worried also because we've not been careful since and I might already be pregnant. Can they test for APS in pregnancy? If I start myself on aspirin would this affect test results?
