NCT for second baby

Sorry if this am has been asked before!

I was considering doing the NCT course if there was one near me, (the postnatal one rather than the antenatal one). Would I look a bit odd though?

I only did the NHS antenatal course with DC1 which was two sessions and although it was useful, I didn’t meet anyway. I met some people through an NCT baby massage course, one of whom I’m still in touch with but my last maternity leave was really lonely.

I went to soft play with DC1 earlier and there was a group of mums there with smaller children and I was just there with DD like a Larry.

Thoughts?

I did NCT at least 60% to make 'mum' friends so I'd say go for it! My biggest fear at the moment is being lonely whilst in maternity leave so to me it makes sense to out yourself out there and find ways to meet people :)

That is!

Only reason I didn’t do NCT last time was because we couldn’t afford it Sad I managed to meet people through the NCT baby massage course but other than through NCT I have no idea how to meet people!

People at baby groups all seemed to know each other from NCT so they stuck together

Two out of six of us in our NCT ante-natal class were second time parents. For the exact reasons as you. Found maternity really lonely last time! I didn’t think it was weird, they are two close friends now & actually voices of relative calm amongst us all as they’d been there, done that!

Go for it!
