Starting to get the wobbles... only 1 week away from when I gave birth to Dd1 prematurely

I am now 30 weeks and I delivered Dd1 at 31 weeks, Dd2 at 33 weeks and DS at 35 weeks. Every now and then I panic and think I am so not ready yet if Ds2 decides to come early. Every night I go to bed thinking that I might go into labour that night. Every BH and twinge I think this might be it.. I am so scared!!

SGK - you have every right to be worried. I was and I only did the premmie thing once....your a veteran compared to me.

I did have amajor panic at 24wks and (virtually) self admitted myself to hosp with BHs. I ended up in for a week but it was reassuring in a lot of ways.

Just think positive...the ProteinS thing was the cause you are on Clexane...it will stop you going into prem labour...think positive thoughts...

SlightlyMadShockwave · 30/08/2007 21:45

Oh and I trundled off to hosp at 26ish too as I was paranoid. Turns out I had a UTI, I got a crap Dr who didn't think I should be there and taught me a lesson by cranking the speculum as wide as it would go [ouch]...but the MW was sympathetic...with lots of "it is reasonable to be worried as you approach 27wks (DTDs date)...." She knew why I was there and didn't care if it reassured me.

I know, I just panic in case it wasn;t the Protein S that caused it before, and it wasn;t something else they haven't discovered.. I just am sooo scared..

of COURSE you are scared sparkly

accept it is a normal and proper response

go easy on yourself xxx

SlightlyMadShockwave · 30/08/2007 21:49

I think I would be worried if you weren't worried IYSWIM.

Relax - that is the only realistic thing you can do to help

There is a good chance it is the ProteinS

You will be sat here moaning in 10wks....

sparklygothkat · 30/08/2007 21:51

well so far I have managed it to 30 weeks with NO hospital admissions Thats a record for me!

sparklygothkat · 30/08/2007 21:57

If I am still here in 10 weeks moaning about my size and how overdue I actually feel, you have the right to (virtually) slap me

Well I probably should have made it to term w/o any admissions if I wasn't so paranoid and volunteered to stay in with what was essentially BHs .

Still my sicknote did actually say the words "threatened premature labour" which made me feel a bit better and a little less timewasting IYSWIM.

sparklygothkat · 30/08/2007 22:00

I think I kept going in with BHs too with DD2, I was in there for a week, allowed home, back the next day with BHs and kept in for another week, etctetc!!! It says on my notes 'threaten preterm labour from 28 weeks' So far I haven't rush myself in for BHs..

sparklygothkat · 30/08/2007 22:02

anyway I can't have Ds2 next week, I have a wedding to go to and I have just ordered myself a £45 maternity dress

Are you all ready then sparkly just in case ?

sparklygothkat · 30/08/2007 22:17

'all my bags are packed, i'm ready to go' lalalala!!

well kinda, my bags were all packed but then I went away for the weekend with the girls and used the baby's bag.. so have to repack that one. Have just got my new carseat, a kind mnetter sent me her spare one, the postman threw it over my 6ft fence, so had to make a claim from Royal mail, they sent me a cheque yesterday for £95, so have now brought a new one

Baby's room is all sorted, DH put together the glider chair today, oh its lovely!!

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 30/08/2007 22:20

sparklygothkat · 30/08/2007 22:21

well I will if I can't get the Gestational diabetes under control

OP posts:
SlightlyMadShockwave · 30/08/2007 22:21

Well if you are all sorted then that answers it.......you won't need it until 37wks+, assuming Sods law prevails
