Fibroids and pregnancy

Hi all. I’m currently 8 weeks 6 days pregnant. Had a scare over the weekend with bleeding but had an early scan and baby is fine. The doctor told me I have a large (10cm) fibroid. On my notes it says anterior intramural fibroid. I’m worried this fibroid will start pressing against the baby soon and complicate things. Has anyone ever had any experience with large fibroids and being pregnant? The doctor said it’s likely it was always there but it has increased in size due to pregnancy hormones.

Hey hun they found a large fibroid in my first pregnancy (around 6cm when first found) and its location didn't affect the birth itself. I was consultant lead due to this but all it meant was when they did the scans they kept an eye on where the fibroid was and size etc. Turns out a lot of women in my family have fibroids etc. And all of them have had a few children. If you have any concerns I'm sure the midwife and gp will reassure you there x
