Preparing toddler for new baby

My son is currently 15 months and will be 21 months when number 2 appears, does anyone have any tips for preparing a toddler of this age for a new baby?

He's generally really good although can be a bit clingy and get angry if we don't understand him which I think is just frustration at not being able to talk yet!

My daughter was almost the same age when our second was born; we just included her in conversations about the baby, she chose a cuddly toy to put in his room, stuff like that.

When she came to the hospital after he was born we gave her a present from him; a little rucksack with crayons, a comic, sweeties and a little toy. Apart from anything else it amused her whilst DH and I got on with other things.

It's a really beautiful thing to watch them bond and grow up together; mine are older now but still, listening to them just talk nonsense together is my favourite thing.

Good luck Smile

Same as @AudacityOfHope we got our daughter a present from her baby brother (it was a boy doll). We also read books about bringing baby home etc.
