Nipple piercings and breast feeding

Hi, just after some advice as I can't seem to get a straight forward answer from google
I got both my nipples pierced about 10 months ago, and I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant. I do plan on breast feeding, but don't know when the best time to remove the piercings would be. From what I've read scar tissue can cause a problem with reduced milk flow, so would it be best to keep the piercings near to my DD or to take out now?

Thanks Smile

I took both mine out as soon as I found out I was pregnant. The holes haven't closed. Sometimes get white gunk come out.
Hoping to breastfeed.

Took my piercing out years before pregnancy. Baby would not take from the previously pierced breast.

Milk flow was very restricted. I say 'was' because it's now dried up.

Still managed six months and counting on one breast.

I had mine pierced 6 years ago for only a few months before taking them out. Currently 40 weeks pregnant and been expressing colostrum and weirdly I get more out of the healed up piercing holes than elsewhere. I asked a lactation nurse at a breast feeding class and she said that having them pierced or previously having them pierced doesn't affect your ability to feed.

Not sure about the best time to take them out though!
