When do babies start to turn?

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and baby is lying low and all the fluttering/"kicks" are felt beneath my pubic bone. She likes to lie on the bottom right side of my pelvis and as I have bi-weekly scans (short cervix monitoring) her foot is always kicking my cervix. Does anyone know when babies usually start changing positions or moving slightly up if they do at all?

Thank you x

I meant that her foot is always near my cervix or kicking it at every scan I have had so far .

My baby was spinning like a washing machine before settling head down at 29ish weeks. Now at almost 32 weeks they’ve flipped and are breeched Confused.

This is my first so sorry I can’t advise on anything beyond that. My midwife encouraged me to sit on a yoga ball and keep active with walks to get the baby into a good position. But I’m not sure how useful this would be when the baby is still quite small.

@fibeee
When did your baby move up from being low? Not sure if that makes sense as I'm not sure if some continue to lie low by pelvis?

And as for the spinning around like a washing machine, wow, that must have felt weird haha x

@goforit99 I would say towards the end of the second trimester. I used to get a lot of kicks to the groin early on. I def was still getting them at 25 weeks. Hopefully a more experienced mum on here will be able to advise you better!

Haha they obviously weren’t as fast as a washing machine but for awhile they seemed to be endlessly going round and round Smile

My baba was breech at 29 weeks but head down at 31 weeks. But this baby is seriously active, I’m convinced she’s still spinning. Once or twice a day, I get a huge roll like movement that actually hurts! Then the kicks will be in a different place until I get another roll! The last couple days, she’s seemingly remained in once place so here’s hoping she’s running out of room!

@fibeee im in the same position. at 28 weeks my baby was 'sort of head down' (words from the midwife), but now he's moved and im getting punches and kicks either side of my tummy.

We'll see what happens but im sort of expecting him to have to be manually moved

@bol87
Mine is breech and had been since I can remember, it scares me when she kicks or settles right at the bottom of my pelvis, and her foot is literally near the opening of the cervix (mine is slightly open hence stitch) but Dr's obviously can't do much about where she chooses to lay, I just wish she would move up from that position

I am 26 weeks with my 4th.

In my experience mine turned about at 28 weeks. I did some positions then and they all turned within 24 hours.

This baby I feel has a lot of space, as today I feel it's head down, but yesterday was breach and also head down. Until they have space they will wiggle around.

With my others I did try some positions to help them turn because their head was hurting my rib cage quite a bit. Don't feel the same yet with this baby.

I know thou that midwifes don't get concealed yet until much later, as there are babies that turn in the last few weeks before labour.

I’m 36 weeks and my boy hasn’t turned. I’ve ended up having to have C Section booked in two weeks as my boy is still complete breech. Some babies just don’t turn

@R2D2 @Emmalowri
At what stage did your babies move from lying low to a bit higher? Do babies have a certain stage where they move from one area or another? Not meaning turning around or changing from head down to breach.. thank you

Mine was breech at 31 weeks and I was feeling all the movements very low, but by 34 weeks had turned and was pretty high, with bum right up under my ribs!
