Does this sound like a UTI

I seem to suffer a lot with my bladder whilst pregnant. Currently 12+1 weeks.

My lower abdomen has been a bit achey the last few days. I thought probably just stretching. As a lot of the time it's near my groin or one sided. Not painful just an ache.

The last two nights I've woken in pain like I really need a wee. Go to the loo and it's not a long wee like I feel I need. It's hardly worth getting up for.
I'm also getting it during the day. Frequent urge to wee, then I go and half the amount comes out to what I feel I need. Often having to pop back for another wee 5/10 mins later.
I don't have a midwife yet and my doctors are beyond useless!!!

Don't no if this is just things moving and upsetting things or a possible UTI?
Iv had this before at about 5 weeks pregnant and it lasted a week and it was negative for urine infection.

Sounds like it could be or perhaps you have a tilted uterus which is still allowing the baby to irritate your bladder? Mine is tilted and for about 16 weeks until baby fully pops out over the top I get frequency urge to pee, difficulty with starting to pee and then not even nearly the expected amount being passed. It takes me ages too. It starts like that all the time and then as I get further along it sort of comes and goes until I start properly showing and then have no problems (apart from the usual pregnancy frequency!)

I had my first UTI when I wasn't pregnant and definitely never want one again!

Similar symptoms as you describe, always feeling as if I needed a wee but nothing would come out but it also ended up feeling like a constant tingly, throbbing. Definitely worth getting checked out, I was told I had it off a urine sample but just went to a walk in centre rather than the Dr's

I had a UTI in my first pregnancy. I had no physical symptoms, which is meant to be odd, but it got bad in the end and I got pretty poorly (results from my 8 week appointment got lost). I actually didn't think I could go on with the pregnancy - it was that bad. I didn't know I had a UTI, I just thought pregnant women generally felt that bad!

As I say, none of the burning pee stuff, but I had such a headache, and generally felt so I'll, I just wanted to curl up in a ball and die. It really affected my brain. I couldn't think clearly - it was like swimming in treacle - even the simplest tasks. But everyone around you is saying "ah baby brain". Yeah right.

They should check for it at your midwifes appointments but if you're concerned, get it checked. I felt so much better once I got mine treated.
