Changing backpack- reccomendations?

A lot of changing bags seem very feminine and I want something unisex so both me and my husband can use it. Thinking a changing backpack would work well but looking for some reccomendations. There seems to be a lot of cheap offers out there but if we are using it everyday I don't want it falling apart.

I have purchased the Storksak St James scuba backpack for my little one. Baby not yet due so I am yet to use it in it's full glory but I have packed baby's hospital bits in there and it seems fab! Really spacious and excellent quality. They have a variety of different backpack styles on the website 😊

Check out Tiba + Marl

HiHoHiHoBackToSchoolWeGo · 18/01/2020 18:40

I second Tiba & Marl. I love mine!

ncqtime · 18/01/2020 18:47

One of these type ones. Everyone around here has them and for good reason.

Thirding Tiba and Marl

PotteringAlong · 18/01/2020 19:00

Just buy a normal rucksack.

T0rt0ise · 18/01/2020 19:31

Following this as was hoping to find a nice 'outdoorsy' one but they're all very feminine and don't look overly weatherproof!

T0rt0ise · 18/01/2020 19:41

Just saw this one www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/d9790.html

CatToddlerUprising · 18/01/2020 19:42

I have the one ncqtime posted, it’s great

RainbowMum11 · 18/01/2020 19:54

Just use a normal backpack - I have a Regatta one which is navy blue & perfect.

Pastnowfuture · 18/01/2020 20:28

Thanks everyone. Great to have suggestions!

@CatToddlerUprising Is yours specifically the 'tiscen' make or just this style? There are many similar ones on amazon so I'm just curious Smile

Ah I really want to recommend Tiba and Marl but you can't wash their changing mats. After one massive poo explosion I had to wash it and now all the internal padding is bunched up in one corner. Don't see how you can sell a changing mat that you can't wash. My old storksak ones been washed loads and looks like new still.

EstebanTheMagnificent · 18/01/2020 22:08

I would highly recommend buying a normal backpack that you both like. Choose one with plenty of compartments and buy a folding travel changing mat.

CatToddlerUprising · 18/01/2020 22:20

I have this one-

Tiba and Marl seem crazily expensive - I've seen lots of people using these www.amazon.co.uk/Lekebaby-Nappy-Changing-Backpack-Arrow/dp/B07B7H6L9T?psc=1&th=1&ref_=ast_sto_dp&tag=mumsnetforu03-21
Personally we used a Joules Coast backpack that I had been using as my work bag, and bought one if these to go in it www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/deluxe-portable-changing-mat-d4701.html :)

ChocolateCoins19 · 19/01/2020 00:56

Same as @ncqtime
I gave mine away when dd got older as she only needed a tiny bag for nappies and clothes
Then found out expecting again so got another.
My friend has my old one and it's still going strong

bobble53 · 19/01/2020 00:57

Herschel settlement sprout - looks like a totally normal backpack and is gender neutral. I love mine!

raindropsfallingonglass · 19/01/2020 09:04

We had a changing bag that was hardly ever used - most of the time I just used a normal rucksack. I had a nappy change case thing with a built in changing mat, and other smaller bag/pouch things for spare clothes, food, etc

HighOnStilts · 19/01/2020 09:06

We have this one off Amazon and it's fab. It has so many compartments!

Yes to a normal rucksack they are more comfortable and can get in loads of styles, we still use our twins one 5years in!

00100001 · 19/01/2020 09:09

We just used a normal rucksack

00100001 · 19/01/2020 09:10

Places like Trespass have ones with pockets, waterproof etc.

Really there's no need to buy a "changing bag"

We used s rucksack we already had
