Amazing! I got a proper energy surge, I felt on top of the world.
Then I lost my plug. Apart from the energy rush, there wasn't anything different from the normal braxton Hicks that I'd convinced myself numerous times were 'it'.
How far along are you?

IvinghoeBeacon · 18/01/2020 18:24

I had lots of pressure and Braxton Hicks etc in the weeks leading up to it, so that was no great signal to me. However, I had been really cheerful and energetic in the final week or so and then one morning I woke up and felt tearful all day, and that night I went into labour, so I think there must have been some sort of hormone change

I've been feeling same way for about a week @Butterflyy20 😞

I won't be convinced it's real till the back pain kicks in.
All I remember from my first labour is that I felt it more in my back than my front and the pressure was mainly in my bum, I was convinced she was gonna come out that way.

I didnt feel any different. I went in and visited my work colleagues because I was bored (5 days into maternity leave 😅) and said I could have stayed on another week. Baby was born by lunchtime the next day.

I had cramps in the morning but carried on with my day, even went to my antenatal appointment.
Came home in the afternoon and had a nap then woke up an hour later with strong pains.
Then within the 45 mins of me getting my hospital bag ready and ringing the midwife, a family member and an ambulance I was in full blown labour and had DC at home before midwife or ambulance could get to me quick enough.
All was ok though Smile

Lol I am 38+4 too!

I have been crampy, last night felt like an elastic band snapped 'down there' but had no fluids and today have had the most incredible upset tummy..... especially awkward when picking up the last couple of bits in Next. Honest to god the tiniest bit of gas slipped out and it was like the bit in the lion king where the animals all flee. Probably tmi but I have never known my gut to be like that before - so fairly certain something is happening as havent eaten anything dodge and feel fine otherwise.

We have a section booked next week so just hoping we get there!

I'm 38+4 too ☺️

PixieDustt · 18/01/2020 23:04

I had the 💩's! Sorry TMI.
Back ache and lots of it.
Walked up a hill at about 10pm got things going 🤣
