Hi Ladies, hoping you all can join soon. The TTC (trying to conceive) after MC (miscarriage) January group have been so supportive I hope we can keep it up for those who have BFP (big fat positive).

@Moominmiss it's a bit of a saga.

Hope you're sitting comfortably Wink

I have had a cyst in my abdomen for at least 10 years (they can't decide if it's in my ovary, fallopian tube, or just generally hanging around). When I was having scans for my MMC last year, the sonographers all said I'd need to be rescanned in 6 months as it had grown, and they'd write to my GP.

I called my GP on Tuesday, and they couldn't find any reference to it in the letters from the hospital (despite the 3 or 4 different sonographers who scanned me all saying it). So, they gave me an appointment for 2 weeks' time.

I then called the epau directly yesterday, to see if they had any other records, and mentioned I am pregnant again. They were concerned about ectopic because of where the cyst is, so booked me in for bloods today.

FireflyGirl · 05/03/2020 15:03

Yep, levels are within the normal range, and are high enough for them to expect to be able to see something on a scan. I'll only be 5+2, so too early for a heartbeat, but they'll just be looking to make sure it's in the right place.

BecsterG · 05/03/2020 19:10

Hormone levels sound good @FireflyGirl. Fingers crossed you see everything that's expected at this stage where it should be.

Thanks @BecsterG.

But even if we do, I'll then be worrying about whether it develops a heartbeat...

AlviesMam · 05/03/2020 21:16

@FireflyGirl me too I'm so worried and I'm not getting an early scan... I think we just have to hope and pray and stay positive, what will be will be, we can't change anything so let's put our energy into positive thinking than worry 🙏🏼 xxxx

BecsterG · 06/03/2020 07:02

I completely get that @FireflyGirl . Hopefully they'll bring you back for another a few weeks later to check for progression.

@AlviesMam would you pay for an early scan to help put your mind at ease?

@FireflyGirl, glad your hcg levels are nice and high. I had my early scan at 5 weeks 1 day, and they could see the sac and yolk sac. It is an agonising wait til the rescan, I would of much preferred repeat hcg tests than an early scan!!
When is your scan? 😊

Zoey36 · 06/03/2020 12:33

@cduffs twins?!!!!!! Ahhh how very exciting! My nieces are twins and I remember how exciting it was when we found out!

cduffs · 06/03/2020 13:44

@BecsterG just very nauseous and a very sore back but that's all I have so here's hoping they don't escalate.

It's very amusing telling people we are expecting again and then the pause while they congratulate us then telling them the big shocker everyone's faces have been pictures 😂

BecsterG · 07/03/2020 14:38

@cduffs ha ha I bet. We were pregnant with twins last year and had the same reaction from most people we told. To be honest I never got my head round it either. Ha ha

That's good you are feeling not too bad. Fingers crossed it continues.

I've felt ok for a week now. Not normal but better than I was, less sick. I'm pleased but makes me nervous at the same time. I've had to move into my maternity jeans though as mine are just too tight and make me feel awful.

Morning everyone.

I had my scan this morning. As expected, as I'm only 5+2, not much to see. There's a sac and a yolk, but it's too early for anything else. At least they've confirmed it's not ectopic.

They're pretty sure that the cyst is blocking one of my fallopian tubes, which makes it even more interesting that we've managed to get pregnant so quickly every time.

I've taken myself off to bed for a nap, but the cat woke me up and I actually feel worse 😞

I have an appointment to go back in 2 weeks' time for a re-scan, so just having to carry on as normal until then.

FireflyGirl · 07/03/2020 14:58

@BecsterG you're nearly 12 weeks now, aren't you? That could be why you're feeling less sick. I get that it's still worrying, though Flowers

Yey for maternity jeans!

BecsterG · 07/03/2020 14:59

@FireflyGirl yeah I'm just 11 weeks so almost there. With my DS I was sick for 16 weeks so just presumed it would be the same. I'll remain positive and just enjoy having a bit more energy left.

How are you doing?

OP posts:
BecsterG · 07/03/2020 15:06

@FireflyGirl sorry I've just seen your first message. That's good they saw everything they'd expect at the scan and wow sounds like you're quite fertile if one tube is blocked.

Feel sick is horrible but it's a good sign I'd say. The 2 weeks wait is so hard but fingers crossed you continue to feel rubbish as it's a good sign.

Hah, thanks @BecsterG. I know what you mean - wishing people morning sickness Grin

DH is taking all credit for the fertility Hmm Grin

BecsterG · 07/03/2020 21:26

Ha ha I bet he is! 🤣

Re-scan today, 6±2 by my dates... Hoping its not too early for a heartbeat. Its been the longest week...

Moominmiss · 09/03/2020 09:33

Good luck today @BS9790!! Really hoping you do get to see a heartbeat, but just remember it still could be too early so don’t get disheartened if you don’t.

But I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

BecsterG · 09/03/2020 10:10

@BS9790 good luck! I saw heartbeats last time at 6 weeks and 4 days so fingers crossed but yeah as previously said remember it's still early.

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 09/03/2020 14:15

Fingers crossed for you today @BS9790.

I saw a heartbeat with DS at 6+4, but a lot of the things I have read with the last two miscarriages have said that's early and it's more likely to be 7 weeks.

BS9790 · 09/03/2020 16:33

Saw our little blob with its heart flickering away.
Such a relief... For about an hour. Back to worrying now 😂

Zoey36 · 09/03/2020 19:47

so glad @BS9790!

FireflyGirl · 09/03/2020 20:13

Aw, such a relief @BS9790. The risk of miscarriage drops once there's a heartbeat.

Are you due back, or just wait for the dating scan now?

BS9790 · 10/03/2020 06:54

@FireflyGirl, just wait for dating scan now. EPU will only see me again if there's any more problems.
I'm going to book a private scan for 8 weeks though, I've read miscarriage rates drop quite significantly if a heartbeat had been heard at 8 weeks. I'm also going abroad just after, so be nice to have some peace of mind before I go away x

BecsterG · 10/03/2020 09:56

@BS9790 such great news, you must be so relieved. Booking a private scan is a good idea as it's such a long wait. I've got just under 2 weeks until mine and my god it's dragging big time!

How is everyone feeling?
