Hi Ladies, hoping you all can join soon. The TTC (trying to conceive) after MC (miscarriage) January group have been so supportive I hope we can keep it up for those who have BFP (big fat positive).

My beta hcg levels last night were 1600 (and something) so they can proceed with a scan. They've booked me in for Sunday for an early scan, but I'll only be 5 weeks and 4 days... So I already know they won't see anything! They won't retest my hcg in 48 hours, just scan me instead... Really want my hcg retesting to be assured its doubling.
I was 5 weeks exactly yesterday, do you think levels of 1600 are ok?

BecsterG · 27/02/2020 07:37

Morning, I have no idea to be honest but that sounds promising for 4 weeks plus. I wonder why they are going to scan you even though the chances are it's too early. You could ask when you go?

I'm assuming it's to rule out ectopic but not actually sure!

raspberrypickle · 27/02/2020 09:15

Hope your everything goes well with the scan today @BecsterG and for your scan on Sunday@BS9790 x

BecsterG · 27/02/2020 11:22

Thanks @raspberrypickle The scan was good thanks you. Everything as it should be and confirmed 9+4 so exactly two weeks on from my scan two weeks ago. It looks more like a baby now. We even saw it's we arms moving.

Now the wait until the dating scan. Not having it until I'm 13 weeks.

How are things with you?

@BS9790 ah that makes sense. Always good to rule that out. Fingers and toes crossed for you.

Great news @BecsterG! What a relief for you xx

FireflyGirl · 27/02/2020 20:18

Hey ladies, I'm coming across from the February thread as I've had a bfp.

Some mild cramps, and a small amount of brown discharge, but I'm only 4+0 today, so no point even going to the GP yet.

I was worried about another CP as my lines were still faint after 3 days, but tested again this morning and it came up very strongly very quickly. So, today I am pregnant.

FireflyGirl · 27/02/2020 20:34

Great to hear about your scan @BecsterG Flowers

Do you feel you can start getting excited now?

BecsterG · 27/02/2020 21:04

Hey @FireflyGirl congratulations on your BFP! That's so exciting. Brown blood is old blood so it's possibly just blood from implantation. Try not to worry although it's so hard!

I am excited yes but will keep it all in check until my dating scan. I've had two early scans now and I'm relieved but I'll wait 3 weeks. It's mad how much you question everything after a MC.

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 28/02/2020 07:36

Thanks @BecsterG.

I've only had it once before, and it ended in quite a traumatic MMC, so it's just making me nervous.

But I had cramps 7dpo this time, which I don't remember having before, and I think may have been implantation, so it could be implantation bleeding. Haven't had any more, touch wood.

Have you got a date for your dating scan?

BecsterG · 28/02/2020 07:56

If it's only happened once and it wasn't bright red that's a good sign. I had quite a bit of brown old blood with my son a few years ago. I also had mild cramping at 4 -5 weeks this time so fingers crossed the baby is just burying into the lining of your womb. It's horrible having to wait. I was offered two reassurance scans from the EPU so it's worth calling them as you get closer to 6 weeks so they can scan you.

I was obsessed with pregnancy tests at the start of this pregnancy. Didn't stop until 6 weeks.

Yes my scan is on 23rd March so I'll be 13 weeks exactly then. I'm in Scotland so as soon as you know you're pregnant you call up and get your booking app and dating scan dates. When I got the date in January it felt like forever away but it's just over 3 weeks now. Still long enough though!

@FireflyGirl sorry forgot to tag you in my reply x

FireflyGirl · 29/02/2020 07:44

Thanks @BecsterG.

I have a cyst in my abdomen and am due a scan for that soon, so going to try and kill two birds with one stone!

My lines are dark every time now, so not much point poas any more. I have a couple left to use, though. Be rude not to Wink

Have you got many symptoms now?

BecsterG · 29/02/2020 07:48

@FireflyGirl Ha ha would defo be rude not too. I was obsessed. Spent a fortune in January in tests.

Yes I do, constant waves of sickness although it's worse in the afternoon, I've been fairly constipated too and my boobs are really sort come the end of the day and shattered. I was asleep before 8:30 last night ha ha . I've forgotten what it feels like to feel normal. Can't wait for it to pass.

Have you got any symptoms? I only had sore boobs until about 6 weeks when it all hit me.

Welcome @FireflyGirl 👋🏻🙂
Hope everyone's doing ok xx

FireflyGirl · 29/02/2020 16:05

Just mild nausea, and cramps.

I'm expecting the nausea to get worse over the next couple of weeks, if previous history is anything to go by! But I still have the anti-sickness meds from my MMC last summer so will start them.

FireflyGirl · 29/02/2020 16:06

Thanks for the welcome @raspberrypickle Smile

BecsterG · 01/03/2020 13:19

@BS9790 how are you doing? Did you have a scan?

OP posts:
BS9790 · 01/03/2020 14:31

@BecsterG I'm OK thanks, still having a few painful cramps... Hoping it's just normal.

Had my scan and could see a sac and a yolk sac, no sign of a baby or heartbeat but said that was normal for my dates... Back a week tomorrow to see if the pregnancy has progressed. So fingers crossed.

How is everyone doing? X

BecsterG · 01/03/2020 15:43

Well that's good news for now. Fingers crossed for progression in a week. All this waiting around is so hard isn't it?!

I'm good thanks. Feeling a little less sick today. Not sure if it's a one off or if it's the start of the end of it. I'm 10 weeks to day Ekk

FireflyGirl · 04/03/2020 08:22

Morning all, how's everyone doing today?

I am 4+6 today. Feel groggy and 'hungover' first thing in the morning, but other than that I don't feel much different. I seem to remember with DS I didn't have many symptoms until 6 weeks, and then it all kicked in with a vengeance and I hated being pregnant from then on! Grin

BecsterG · 04/03/2020 09:54

Morning,

I was the same. Felt completely normal a part from my boobs until 6 weeks and then bam it hit me. I'm 10 weeks now and starting to feel better which is great but always a worry at the back of my mind.

I'm trying to reign in my eating now I feel a bit better! Ha ha

@FireflyGirl do you think you'll have an early scan? I have 2.5 weeks to wait for my dating scan and nervous again.

OP posts:
BecsterG · 04/03/2020 09:55

@FireflyGirl sorry just remembered you said you were due a scan to check up on a cyst so would do both. Do you have a date for it?

@BS9790 how are you? Have your cramps eased off?

OP posts:
BecsterG · 04/03/2020 09:57

@Zoey36 how are you? Do you have a date for your third scan?

Moominmiss · 04/03/2020 10:14

Hey 🙋🏼‍♀️ Can I join? Really nervous to be over here, and scared I’ll tempt fate, but I know no matter which thread I’m on it isn’t going to make any difference, so I’m biting the bullet!

I was over on the February and March miscarriage threads after having a mc on 1st January at what should have been 8 weeks.

Lmp was 7th feb, positive opk on 20th feb, and to my utter shock got my faint bfp on 1st March, a week before af is due (supposedly only 8 or 9dpo).

Lines are getting ever so slightly darker, and I git a 1-2 weeks on clear blue digital test yesterday.

But going by my pre mc cycles being 29 days my edd will be 14th November making me only 3+4 so stupidly early. That’s the trouble with testing early I guess. It’s going to feel like a long wait now til I see a midwife.

I’m still convinced it’s going to turn into a chemical as I’m not due af til 7th which is still days away!

I’m hoping when I do see the midwife she might refer me for an early scan at the EPU. When I miscarried last time she said they would be happy to do I’m hoping that’ll still be the case.

Congrats to everyone else here. Hopefully we’ll have more joining us.

🤞🏻 For healthy pregnancies all round!
