@TerribleImagination absolutely fantastic news 🙌👣✨🌈 so happy!

TerribleImagination · 30/05/2020 09:27

Thanks everyone! 🥰 I keep watching the video! Still in awe of that little heartbeat ❤️❤️

Mammacooks · 31/05/2020 09:26

@TerribleImagination that’s amazing news. Congratulations! I have mine next week and am terrified! So reassuring for you to see a healthy little bean.
I’m just going into week 7 now and the nausea has really hit me the past few days. No actual sickness just all day nausea and feel repulsed by most foods. Any tips?! X

TerribleImagination · 31/05/2020 09:36

Thanks @Mammacooks! ❤️

Aww bless you, I feel your pain with the all day nausea, it’s the pits isn’t it 🤢 I’m making sure I eat little and often and literally just think of the least offensive foods in my head, then eat whatever doesn’t make me feel like throwing up 😂 Salt and vinegar crisps, pretzels, fizzy sweets, fruit and jelly have been little winners! I manage pasta usually for a bigger ‘meal’ or a crumpet or piece of toast.

Mammacooks · 31/05/2020 09:52

Sounds the same as me @TerribleImagination I felt fine until the 6week mark then bam! In a way I am hoping it’s a good sign.
I don’t think I’ve eaten anything remotely healthy for about a week though 🙈
I’m surviving on plan pasta, toast, crisps, and elderflower cordial currently!x

TerribleImagination · 31/05/2020 11:21

@Mammacooks That does sound exactly the same! 😆 I was also hit with it at the 6 week mark! It’s definitely a good sign lovey, that’s what I kept telling myself and then I saw that little heartbeat!

Oh same, I can’t even stomach the thought of vegetables 🤢 Have managed a bit of fruit but that’s about it! Hopefully we’ll only have a few more weeks of this before it eases 🤞🏻

ChampooPapi · 31/05/2020 13:08

@Mammacooks @TerribleImagination yes 6-10 weeks is really hell. You literally just have to survive, there is zero pleasure in anything other then sleep, or seeing your little one on a scan. But everything in-between just sucks hard! It is standard though and will go, slowly ebbing from 9 weeks. I actually always think I'm going to die, and I've been through it three times before! And I'm obviously still here to tell the tale.

But by god it's the worst thing ever! So horrible. Just let yourselves go completely and get through anyway you can. Stay in bed as much as possible! And keep snacking like you are when you can.

Greener pastures soon ladies, just a few more weeks and it will lift I promise 🙏💜💜💜

TerribleImagination · 31/05/2020 16:19

I’m having the funniest day today... DP is so hungover and just said to me ‘I think the only way I can get through this is to constantly eat ice lollies’ 🤣 I was like ‘WELCOME TO MY WORLD FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS!!’ 😂😂😂

TerribleImagination · 31/05/2020 16:21

Also I’ve just made myself some banana angel delight! Old school craving 🤣

kkr168 · 31/05/2020 16:43

Congratulations @TerribleImagination nothing beats seeing your baby's heartbeat for the 1st time

MilsCookie · 31/05/2020 17:18

@TerribleImagination banana angel delight wow!!! Not had that in YEARS haha! I've been making myself banana milkshakes though to get my calcium up!

@Mammacooks haha I'm also LOVING the elderflower cordial at the mo!!

TerribleImagination · 31/05/2020 21:29

I know right @MilsCookie 😂 It was delicious!! The bloat is real! I’ve had it since about 4 weeks and it never goes down either. It’ll just be bloat at this stage though. I can’t wait to have a bump so I actually look pregnant and not just like I’ve eaten too much 🤣

Aww thanks @kkr168 - it was the most amazing moment!

@ChampooPapi I’m so hoping my nausea starts to ease up for 10 weeks too! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Zoey36 · 01/06/2020 08:39

I'm 22 weeks now and have a full on bump. It's not all bump....the part above my belly button is not baby haha but it's round! I wasnt even showing with my first at this stage. Looking at photos, I'm the same size as I was with my daughter around 35 weeks. Oh dear!

Elderflower cordial! I'm making my own this summer! It's the perfect drink for that last boost in labour because we put a LOT of sugar in it....it's like an energy drink haha!!

FireflyGirl · 01/06/2020 08:45

Congratulations on the scans @MilsCookie and @TerribleImagination.

Sorry for dropping off. I started feeling a bit meh about the pregnancy, and lockdown in general, so had a week off MN/social media and am feeling much more cheerful. Hopefully it lasts!

I'm 18 weeks today, so nearly half way. I had a chat with DH last night. Because of our experiences, we don't really talk about a baby, just about me being pregnant, but by this point with DS we were discussing names. I pointed out if we carry on like this we'll be in for a shock in November...

My bump is pretty big now and I can feel a lot more movements, just little bubbles and pops inside but last night I laid in the bath and noticed ripples which could only be baby moving. I stayed in until I was chilly just to watch them!

FireflyGirl · 01/06/2020 08:48

@Zoey36 my bump is the same, it's mostly above my belly button/under my boobs. It's where your uterus has shoved the rest of your organs out of the way! I also look much further on than 4 months...

Zoey36 · 01/06/2020 09:38

Yes and my tummy muscles are useless now so there's nothing holding it all back 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

ChampooPapi · 01/06/2020 11:49

I'll update the list later today, another week ladies ticked off 🙌🙌

BS9790 · 01/06/2020 18:24

Woohoo on the scans ladies! Great news to see those healthy heartbeats ❤️

I've had the bloat since day 1, I'm 18 weeks now and it still hasn't let up.
I can see my actual little bump now, when I lay down it's there sticking up... Usually more so at the right hand side so it's wonky 😂 and I can feel where it "drops off"....
but when I stand up I look huge !!! People keep telling me "look at your bump".... It can't be bump can it??? It wouldn't grow that much going from laying to standing?!

Mammacooks · 01/06/2020 19:45

It’s so exciting when you start to get a bump!

I had a complete melt down today as after feeling really nauseous this past week I felt sort of okay this morning. My husband thought I was completely mad as I burst into tears! Anyway, the nausea has returned this evening and I’m about to attempt some plain pasta 😂 I swear I have PTSD from the MC. It’s so horrid overthinking everything.

Hope everyone’s feeling well and enjoying the sunshine x

FireflyGirl · 03/06/2020 12:44

@Mammacooks I read an article earlier this year that said women do experience PTSD after miscarriage.

Hope you're feeling better today!

TerribleImagination · 03/06/2020 13:37

@Mammacooks PTSD after a MC is definitely normal! In the early early days with this pregnancy (I’m still only 8+5) I was super anxious and when I tried to think of positive images to counter balance the negativity, I’d get images of my MC flashing up. It was awful, I just couldn’t shake it.

Check out pregnancy meditation or yoga, that’s such a good way to try and relax your mind ❤️

Whiffle77 · 03/06/2020 13:38

I read the same one, before I had my MC! I def think its true. My first period after my MC was awful, it brought up so many awful feelings and memories. Some nights I lie in bed and have a constant running tape going through my head of what happened that night, it's awful. I'm an over thinker anyway but this has made it worse! Hope you are feeling much better today @Mammacooks!

Zoey36 · 03/06/2020 17:26

I still have flashbacks to my MC and certain places and smells will be forever triggers I imagine. Add in early pregnancy and it is really really hard. Anxiety wise, I have to say that now at 22 (I think) weeks I'm only as anxious about everything as I was pre-mcs with my first. I never thought I'd be able to like pregnancy again, and I know that this isn't true for everyone, it I hope ot can bring someone in that early anxious part some hope:)

ChampooPapi · 04/06/2020 10:18

Sorry ladies I've been KO'd with a migraine all week, I've caved and taken two condein and two paracetamol today as I've had enough of it. Going to spend the day in bed with my girls watching glow up and such trivia 😁

I'm doing the update list now, at least it'll look impressive as it's Thursday already 🙌
