Lovely catching up on the last few pages then! Glad the scans went well!
I've got PGP. Had it in my first pregnancy but it really wasn't much of a problem at all but it is much worse this time round and doesnt help having a toddler haha! Other than that, all is good and I am much bigger than I was with my daughter. I'm fatter though!

Sparkl · 27/05/2020 19:02

Only got to check in now and I’m so happy to see your update @MilsCookie!! This is brilliant news. Sounds like it couldn’t have gone better. Hope you are having a lovely relaxing evening to celebrate!

ChampooPapi · 27/05/2020 20:54

@MilsCookie amazing! So happy for you lovely. Absolutely bloody fantastic!!!! They are too cute 😍 double rainbow amazingness 🥰✨🌈

I womd whether it's two boys or two girls?!

ChampooPapi · 27/05/2020 20:54

*wonder

MilsCookie · 28/05/2020 09:53

Thank you @Zoey36 @Sparkl and @ChampooPapi!! Oh Zoey sorry you're suffering with PGP, is there anything the doctors can do to help? I know Champoo... I have a feeling it's two boys as I've had less sickness but that's probably an old wives' tale!!

Is anyone else really suffering from hayfever? My eyes are so dry and itchy, I am forever sneezing throughout the day and the roof of my mouth is also itchy when I wake up. Does anyone know what you can take in pregnancy? I'm so scared to take anything. Or can recommend any eye drops that help?

TerribleImagination · 28/05/2020 10:17

@MilsCookie Weirdly I don’t have hayfever at the moment, but I ALWAYS do and did right before I got PG! I was limiting what I could take in the 2WW and everything but really suffering, but nothing now... very odd!

You can take Piriton whilst pregnant, my midwife friend said they prescribe it as pretty much the only one you can take. I also used an eye spray that you do with your eyes closed and that really helped! Also Sterimer nasal spray is good and it’s only salt water, so is totally safe in pregnancy! I feel your pain lovey, hayfever is miserable! Hope you feel better soon ❤️

TerribleImagination · 28/05/2020 14:44

Has anyone used those travel sickness bands for morning sickness? Or 24/7 sickness 😂 I’ve just ordered some in the hope of possibly having some nausea free time in my day, but I may be clutching at straws.... Reviews seem pretty mixed - they work for some and not for others 🤷🏻‍♀️

aleisha1989 · 28/05/2020 14:52

If anyone is pregnant after MC I have a group on fb called precious pregnancies after loss www.facebook.com/groups/rainbowshere

And for those ttc after loss I run this group to.

I did @TerribleImagination I felt like I was car sick all the time for a few weeks, and wore them. I wasn't sure how well they worked and then had a morning where I honestly couldn't cope as I felt so bad and realised I hadn't put them in after my shower! They are cheap so nothing to lose if they dont work, plus a bit of placebo affect can never hurt! I dont know how well they would help with actual vomiting, but I just was nauseous. Are you feeling really poorly? I had to eat 24/7 as well, could never let myself get hungry

TerribleImagination · 28/05/2020 15:35

Ooh that’s ace they worked for you @Whiffle77! I’m not actually being sick either, just the constant nausea! I don’t get travel sick, so don’t know what that feels like, but it’s definitely making me feel pretty poorly 😬 Hopefully it’s a good sign (8 week scan is tomorrow so I’ll know then!) so I don’t like to moan and I know so many women have terrible sickness and HG, so I’m lucky in that respect! I would like a little bit of relief though haha, even if just for a few hours! I’m the same with the eating 🤣 currently shoving a snickers ice cream in my face 😂

I’ve ordered some of the bands from Amazon, so should have them tomorrow! Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻

Whiffle77 · 28/05/2020 15:41

They didnt make me feel 100% @terribleimagination but they did take the edge of it a bit which helped. I'm not a sicky person, it was really horrible! Mine eased off around 10 or 11 weeks I think, but like you I took it as a good thing!
Oh man I LOVE snickers ice cream - not had one for years! That's going in the shopping list!
Good luck for tomorrow!

TerribleImagination · 28/05/2020 16:14

Yeah taking an edge off would be lovely! Fingers crossed!

Haha you’re welcome for the food craving! I had a really craving for one the other day! They’re so underrated but so good aren’t they?!

And thank you! Crossing everything tomorrow goes ok. Seeing a little heartbeat will make all the nausea totally worth it ❤️

MilsCookie · 28/05/2020 17:01

Thank you for those recommendations @TerribleImagination - I also spoke to my GP this afternoon and he said that the usual cetirizine and loratadine one a day tablets are also fine! But I might get some piriton just in case. Does it have to be in syrup form? (I realise that's a stooopid question haha) Sorry you're still suffering badly from nausea - I don't know about those bands but will be worth a try!! So excited for your scan tomorrow!!!

TerribleImagination · 28/05/2020 19:12

You’re welcome lovey @MilsCookie! Ah that’s ace if you can take the others too! Nope it can be tablet Piriton! I actually took some the other day to see if it helped the nausea! It didn’t haha.

Thaaanks for the good luck!! I just want it to be tomorrow already 🙈 Fingers crossed!!

ChampooPapi · 28/05/2020 19:28

@TerribleImagination it is so horrible I know exactly what you are going through and honest to God it is the pits. No matter how longed for a baby, that is absolutely secondary when you feel like you are diying from either the worst hangover of your life, or actually some kind of disease! The sickness from weeks 6 till 10 are truly the worst, but it will lift , slowly but surely it will.

Yes some women have it worse because they are physically sick all the way through, but right now your feeling really poorly and it is ok to not give a crap about how much better off you are sickness or baby wise. Even I after longing for this pregnancy so much had moments after 4 weeks of constant neseua and crippling headaches ect when I thought 'i hate this so much! This is the worst feeling in the world and I hate being pregnant so bloody much, it's also the worst thing in the world!' 😬😂

I going to break your heart a little....those sickness bands will not work if you've got all day neseua and head spinning bad times. It's your hormones so it just won't be controlled by them. Save your money for all the food you DO want, or all the ice chips or lolly's/sorbet/cheese you can stomach, because you are going to have a few more weeks of the torment. The bands do work for the people who get a mild version, you know, the actual morning kind! But what you describe is textbook ramping up of hormones that are going to increase in the next week especially.

The good news is that it is a really good sign! Yes we have had experiences on here especially with our group of having sickness and pregnancies not being viable or sustained and the sick was continuing. I had it so I understand it very much. But this time my sickness was worse for longer that is a dead certain and ramped up in the way it 'should' as the weeks progressed. I also researched it and it really is incredibly rare to feel so utterly crap and things not to be ticking on well.

Some people don't experience it much or at all and they have perfectly healthy pregnancies. But if your suseptable like us it is a good sign that it hasn't dissapeared, that is the main thing lovely.

I can't wait for your update tomorrow, will be checking in to see as soon as I can 💜💜

TerribleImagination · 28/05/2020 21:50

Aww thank you @ChampooPapi, you really have such a way with words and such amazing advice!

You’re so right, it is the pits! 😩 Thank you for being that voice that says it’s ok to feel that way 🙈 You’re probably right about the bands... I was clutching at straws 😂

I so hope you’re right and tomorrow I see that heartbeat flickering away! ❤️ I feel like seeing that will give me a boost to get through all this nausea fog! 🤢

I love coming on here and chatting to you lot 😍

Sparkl · 29/05/2020 08:26

Good luck today @TerribleImagination, will be thinking of you, I’m sure you will see that heartbeat 💗 looking forward to your update later on. And hopefully it will make the sickness a bit more bearable!

TerribleImagination · 29/05/2020 09:21

Thanks lovey @Sparkl 🥰 It’s not until 6pm, so I’ve got a bit of a wait! Argh!

Whiffle77 · 29/05/2020 10:47

Hope today goes quickly for you @TerribleImagination ! At least the sun is shining!

TerribleImagination · 29/05/2020 19:17

All good at the scan, phew! 🥰 Lovely strong heartbeat ❤️ Measuring 7+3, which is pretty much bang on by ovulation date, even though I’m 8 weeks by LMP.

I’m SO relieved!!
