@BS9790 congratulations 💙
@ChampooPapi omg adorable photos!! So clear!

I'm finding out sex in two weeks, anyone want to guess on this blurry photo taken at 16 weeks?!

Love how everyone is liking the salt and vinegar squares Grin

Also I have a question...

My scan notes from the check state everything is looking normal, all organs and skeleton looking normal and no abnormalities detected but when I've looked at the measurements on the chart in my folder the baby's femur length is placed behind the diamond (second diamond below in picture) is this anything to worry about? Sonographer said everything looks normal and didn't mention it but I find I have to have something to worry about HmmGrin

@MilsCookie yes, it's our first!
Really need to try and relax a bit more now.

Hope everyone is doing okay 😊😊 xx

ChampooPapi · 21/05/2020 20:14

@AlviesMam because your baby looks similar to my bottom photo, I'd say a girl.

I know all babies look similar on these things 😂 ..... But I'm definitely thinking a girl for you

Sparkl · 21/05/2020 20:23

Thanks @BecsterG. It seems to be so common but it’s just so hard not to think the worst.

@MilsCookie I’m doing ok, thank you lovely. I haven’t had any more spotting. Terrible nights sleep and was still really anxious this morning but feeling better now as nothing more has happened. I’m pretty sure I had some spotting with my first pregnancy but can’t really remember. I was blissfully unaware of how common it is for things to go wrong the first time around.

@champoopapi gorgeous scan photos. That’s so cute that your daughter is collecting them! Must be so exciting to be looking forward to two little sisters.

ChampooPapi · 22/05/2020 14:33

Thanks @Sparkl, i'm relieved you've had no more spotting but I would be, and have felt, pretty worried. It's so hard until your on the other side of those first 12 weeks. It just is an incredibly anxious time anyway and having had bleeding myself with this pregnancy and my other (which did result in my 2 year old daughter in 2018) I feel for you so much.

My eldest is ten and she is the one hording the scan pictures, she is very excited and all things baby, it's a nice distraction from home schooling (I am a tyrant by the way 😏).

Just sending you a hug today Sparkl and keep us updated. Like I said I had bleeding and we have the toddler to show for that pregnancy, I can't remember with our first daughter as it was ten years ago but I wouldn't be surprised if I did. The only pregnancy I know I didn't bleed/spot for certain was the one that didn't develope.

It is often a good sign of implantation, especially between 6-9 weeks. Mine was confirmed as implantation bruising at an 8 week scan and it continued until 9 weeks

FireflyGirl · 22/05/2020 19:25

Hope today has been okay, @Sparkl.

It's been day 3 of less nausea for me. Quite enjoying it, to be honest! Managed to eat three normal meals!

5yo DS has been a bit clingy, and just wanted to watch TV, which isn't like him. Think lockdown is starting to get to him. DH and I decided to tell him about the baby, which cheered him up. He was running around in excitement, planning where it will go to nursery Grin Obviously an organiser like his mum!

MilsCookie · 22/05/2020 19:28

Sorry for the late reply ladies... been so busy with work these last two days and it has officially wiped me out. This exhaustion is just another level! I just about feel like I have the energy to watch something on tv. Other than that I just need to be permanently lying down doing NOTHING. And the annoying thing is the last two afternoons I've tried to nap but I can't seem to fall asleep. So I'm just SO tired!

@ChampooPapi oh my goodness gorgeous babies!! That's an amazing pic of them both! Love that your daughter has been keeping the photos...she must be so excited!

Gorgeous pic too @AlviesMam - I think it's a girl! But I guessed @BecsterG 's wrong sooooo don't take my word for it haha! But lovely photo and not long till your next one!

@Sparkl glad the spotting has gone lovely. Just got to take it one day at a time and remember that spotting is really normal! As long as it's not accompanied by strong cramps and a heavy flow I think it's really common.

BecsterG · 22/05/2020 19:49

@AlviesMam I'm going to Jess girl too although I'm usually wrong but I like trying! Ha ha I did guess mine right though! 😂👍🏻

Thanks so much @ChampooPapi. So far so good at the moment. I’m hoping you’re right about implantation. Trying to do the leave the worries in the loo as best I can! It really does seem to be so common doesn’t it, thank you for thinking of me today, and @MilsCookie and @FireflyGirl, I’m trying to keep my worries to myself a bit so it’s a relief to be able to talk to you on here.

@Fireflygirl that is so sweet that he was planning the nursery 😍
Do you think he had a sense before you told him?

@Milscookie oh my god the tiredness. I just want to lie down all the time. But I’m also sleeping so so badly. Nearly managed to nap today, I just need to practice more!

Sparkl · 22/05/2020 23:20

@AlviesMam I’m going to go with boy, what’s your feeling?!

FireflyGirl · 23/05/2020 07:47

@Sparkl he has been asking for a baby for a couple of weeks, so maybe.

When I am trying to nap, I put one of those YouTube relaxation videos on, it helped block out other noises.

Whiffle77 · 23/05/2020 07:56

Glad things are better @Sparkl - I had a long nap yesterday which is so unlike me! I felt very weird when I woke up, very disorienting!

Sparkl · 25/05/2020 10:12

Morning ladies. How is everybody doing? Has anyone a scan coming up this week?

AlviesMam · 25/05/2020 10:23

@Sparkl I originally thought girl but if you look at my pic I'm not sure if I can see some balls 😂 I'm 50/50 I'll be over the moon either way.
Next scan two weeks today. Have you got a scan coming up?
It's gorgeous in the north east today. Going for a nice walk. Hope everyone is well xxxxxx

BecsterG · 25/05/2020 11:14

Hi Ladies, happy bank holiday! Oh I'm so pleased to be off work today and the sun is out again I'm Glasgow.

Just waiting for my first midwife appointment since booking in. The waiting room is dead. So eery.

It's so hard to guess the sex of the baby but sometimes the mum gets a good gut feeling. I did this time as I just knew he'd be a boy but with my first my gut said girl! 😂 I was wrong! Ha ha

TerribleImagination · 25/05/2020 12:26

Morning everyone! Yep I’ve got my early 8 week scan on Friday! Currently peeling myself off the sofa to find some Piriton, in a desperate bid to hopefully make my 24/7 nausea slightly better 🤞🏻

How’s everyone doing?

MilsCookie · 25/05/2020 15:40

Hey everyone - how beautiful is this weather?! ☀️ I've been sat knitting a jumper for my friends baby in the garden 😎 - although I know it seems mad to be knitting in this heat haha!

I've also got my 8 week scan on weds and the anxiety is beginning to creep in. I just feel like I'm going to be told there's no longer two heartbeats. I just pray there's at least one little bean okay in there. I only say that because the doctor told me that often they see 2 embryos in early pregnancy and then by 12 weeks there's just one. It's called "vanishing twin syndrome" 🙁. We will see. I think it's just the awful memories of last time and getting to the 12 week scan having had no cramps or bleeding to be told there's no longer a heartbeat. I still can't believe that happened to me. And I'm just terrified it will happen again. I guess we shall see.

Have you got any more before your 12 week scan @Sparkl?

MilsCookie · 25/05/2020 15:58

P.s......... IM IN HEAVEN 🤤🤤🤤

THANK YOU @FireflyGirl for suggesting these 🤣😋🤤

Aww love @MilsCookie ❤️ It’s so rough having those bad memories in your head. I know I’ve had memories and images from my MC pop up from time to time in this pregnancy too - it really is like PTSD. Try and think as positively as you can for Wednesday and you know we’re all here being your cheerleaders as always! ❤️ You got this 💪🏻

AlviesMam · 25/05/2020 19:03

@MilsCookie it's so normal after a mmc to feel this way, I was exactly the same with Alvie, and I had so many early scans. The anxiety of going into the scan room makes me want to pass out every time, even now 😫 ...But just remember you have seen those heartbeats and this is your year focus on that. 🙂🌈 xxx

Sparkl · 25/05/2020 22:33

I know what you mean @MilsCookie, I can’t believe how differently I’m thinking about this pregnancy. It’s hard not to imagine a repeat of the past but the stats really are in your favour now. Especially since you’ve seen the heartbeats. Knitting and monster munch in the sun to take your mind off it hopefully!

@AlviesMam I have one next week at 9 weeks. Decided on half way between the 6 week and 12 week. I can’t believe how slowwwwwly these days are passing

@BecsterG how was your midwife appointment?

BecsterG · 26/05/2020 06:39

@Sparkl it was god thanks. Just routine with blood pressure, listen to the heartbeat and a few questions. I never get sick of hearing the heartbeat.

It's so natural to bring the memories from your MC into this pregnancy. It makes it hard and anxiety kicks in so you feel you can't get excited. You're not alone with that and it's horrible. The days and weeks go so slowly too but you will get there. I felt this way earlier in the year and forced myself to think of the positives unless I was told otherwise. I had bad days where I did but I eventually got to each of my early scans and then my dating scan and my anxiety levels did decrease a fair bit then. Hang in there and try and think positive thoughts. As the girls have said stats are on your side so I have everything crossed for a healthy pregnancy.

Good luck to those with scans this week.
