Catching up with TTC after MC thread January 2020

Hi Ladies, hoping you all can join soon. The TTC (trying to conceive) after MC (miscarriage) January group have been so supportive I hope we can keep it up for those who have BFP (big fat positive).

@AlviesMam Salt and vinegar crisps seem like everyone’s morning sickness winner! 🤣 I’m currently munching some and hoping I’m not kept awake from the nausea! I’ll be 7 weeks on Friday... so I’m prepping myself for it ramping up then! 😬😂

@FireflyGirl Its such a strange ‘fear’ isn’t it? I have no idea why I get so scared when I think I’m going to be sick 🙈 Interesting that it’s the stomach convulsions that’s the trigger... That does make sense though! So glad you’re starting to feel better now! 😃

I had my scan today, my dates were brought forward by 4 days. I'm now 12+6 with a due date of 26th November.

@MilsCookie yes I will be finding out this time, we didn't find out with our son because I wanted to find out when he was born. When he finally arrived after a long labour I was so out of it that I didn't experience the 'magical' moment I'd expected when finding out the sex, it's put me off waiting this time.

@ChampooPapi I'm hoping your wrong! Were all hoping for a girl but will be happy whatever the outcome.

Has anyone heard of sneakpeek? You can find out the sex from 8 weeks, I'm tempted!!

@kkr168 someone on the November thread I'm on mentioned that - when I looked at reviews on Amazon/TrustPilot, a lot of people were complaining about incorrect results! I wouldn't waste your money - it's the same price for a private scan.

@MilsCookie pickled onion Monster Munch are sooooo good in crisp sandwiches, though...

I'm feeling a bit more human again today, so attempting to make Malay laksa for lunch. Wish me luck!

Love salt and vinegar squares even when not pregnant although I've not had them since being pregnant. Maybe I should hit them up! 😂

Had our private scan this morning, all looking good with strong heartbeat. Baby was all curled up and kept rolling round 😂

And... a boy 💙💙

@AlviesMam thanks so much for that, really reassuring to know you had something similar as well. I’m going to hold out until Monday when I have a gp appointment and see what they say unless I’ve more spotting.

@kkr168 we were hoping for at least one boy and we're convinced we had two boys in there from an early scan photo, turned out to be 2 girls so I my track record is very bad for guessing. You can probably now garentee it'll be a girl from my guess alone 😅

I'm tempted to try and find out now, but going to hold off until the NHS one, then go for another scan around 30 weeks I think.

@Sparkl so sorry to hear about your worries. It's so hard isn't it. I did have a fair bit of spotting when I was pregnant with my son. I always rang for reassurance. They will get you in for another scan if they need to. Fingers crossed t settles. Could just be the baby burrowing deeper into your uterus ready for growing.

I forgot to add I had my booking in appointment over the phone this morning with the midwife...which made it all seem very real! She also explained about me having to be under a consultant as they're high risk twins... I keep trying not to think about the fact they're high risk...

Finally dug out my scan pictures from Monday, my daughter has been collecting them in a envelope in her room
