Hi Ladies, hoping you all can join soon. The TTC (trying to conceive) after MC (miscarriage) January group have been so supportive I hope we can keep it up for those who have BFP (big fat positive).

@TerribleImagination I had the WORST cramps in first trimester. Especially the first few weeks, always worse at night. Sometimes I would be awake at 3am and unable to stand up straight they were that bad. Everything has been fine though!
I got them until around 13 weeks but haven't had them since then, I actually got prescribed codeine because the pain could be that bad. The doctor said its all bowel related 😳🤭

I know they're scary but please don't worry 😊😊

TerribleImagination · 18/05/2020 19:26

Every day is a school day! I thought little green was a colour option 🤣🤣 Totally gonna check out their colours!!

Amazing news on the scan @ChampooPapi! ❤️ And whoooop to the cornforth white love haha!

@BS9790 God that sounds awful, those first trimester pains, poor you!! That does make me feel better though, thank you 😘 So glad they went away for you!

BecsterG · 18/05/2020 20:48

Wow so much to catch up on. Loving the paint chat ladies. We are renovating upstairs, well I say renovating, the wallpaper is off and the walls are ready to be skimmed then new carpets, skirting doors etc and the. A new bathroom but obvs can't do anything now. I need to start to look at paint! Excited to get going!

Welcome @Mammacooks and @Veryanxious and congratulations on your BFP's. Such lovely news. It is an anxious time but try and just to think positive as at this point there is no reason not too and fingers crossed everything will work out for you. The wait before the dating scan is so long and longer when you're anxious post MC etc.

@ChampooPapi great news about your scan! You can definitely breath a sigh of relief.

Today has been an emotional one for me. This baby is really playing with my emotions. I'm not a crier at all and I've cried several times. So stressful trying to work with a toddler around and be pregnant and shattered at the same time. I made it through another day though! Yeay me! Ha ha

Well done on making it through, @BecsterG. It is a big achievement, it's more than you thought you would need to do all at once!

BecsterG · 19/05/2020 08:13

Thanks @FireflyGirl it's definitely more than I'm sure anyone thought they had to do. Today is a new day though! Ha ha

Hope you are feeling better today @BecsterG sorry you had a tough one yesterday. Just got to keep ticking those days off one by one!

Mammacooks · 19/05/2020 09:15

Thank you all for your kind words! Each day really is a struggle.
It’s just so crazy as I always focused (Read obsessed!) so much on getting pregnant and didn’t quite anticipate the sheer anxiety that comes with early pregnancy after MC.
Great news on your scan @ChampooPapi such a relief.
I hope you have an easier day today @BecsterG I plan on getting out in the fresh air and sunshine to hopefully lift my mood xx

Mammacooks · 19/05/2020 09:16

Ps. How long did everyone continue to do tests? I’m still in that phase where I feel I need to do them everyday to just prove I actually am pregnant!

Veryanxious · 19/05/2020 09:59

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

@Mammacooks I feel the same, I’ve also been so obsessed with getting pregnant again I never anticipated how anxiety inducing it would be. Just want to hibernate for 12 weeks!

I’m still testing daily (I only just got my BFP just now at 4 weeks), I want to see the line getting darker after my chemical last month where it never progressed. I think once I get a really strong positive I’ll try to stop.

I’m trying to shield myself a bit from being let down, I haven’t worked out due date or anything, if it goes wrong I don’t want to have to remember again on that date.

Mammacooks · 19/05/2020 10:06

Hi @Veryanxious it’s so scary isn’t it. I had a missed miscarriage last November and then I think A chemical pregnancy in feb (with a v v faint positive). I was just saying to @MilsCookie how (as melodramatic as it sounds) I think I do have PTSD from the experience and get my mind into a very negative thought spiral.
I am trying to stop those negative thoughts (like @ChampooPapi says leave them in the bathroom!) and also try and say some positive affirmations. The month before I got pregnant this time I kept writing down “I will get pregnant” and reading it before I went to bed. Sounds a bit mad but it did help. We almost need to retrain our brains.
Xx

BecsterG · 19/05/2020 10:11

Thanks @Mammacooks and @Whiffle77 . Today is a new day so all good. Sadly no sunshine here again today. Got to love Scotland!

I POAS for a few weeks after my BFP. I was completely obsessed and looking back I must have spent a fortune as I used FRER for the first week then cheapies from Asda and a few digital ones. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It reassured me at the time. My advise is don't take a digital until a few weeks after your BFP as my first didn't show I was pregnant until 4 days after a FRER and when I took one later it had dropped from 3+ to 2-3 and freaked me out. Use cheapies to let you see the positives and digital later. Avoid any more anxiety 😂

Morning ladies - wow I have missed lots haha! Loving the paint chat! Although it's making me very jealous as currently living with parents-in-law (not ideal - need to move out asap!) and I love house decorating!

I am so pleased your scan went well @ChampooPapi you're out of the danger zone now - phew! I hope it's given you a lot of comfort and you can finally begin to relax.

Sorry you had a tough day yesterday @BecsterG it must be so hard with a toddler as well! You got this though mama!

I'm slightly panicking because I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow and I really feel like I should feel more nauseous. It comes and goes but nothing too bad at all. I'm so glad I saw the babies' heartbeats on Saturday otherwise I would be a nervous wreck, but I just worry so much that it's all going to go wrong. I have my private scan a week tomorrow so just got to pray everything is okay then. xx

BS9790 · 19/05/2020 10:41

I peed on sticks for about 3 weeks. Daily to start with and then every few days after that.
The first week I was abroad and I'd picked one up from a chemist in a town 30 mins away from our resort, I had my hubby driving back there most days to pick up another as I wanted the same brand to check the line was getting darker. (Id taken a few with me and used those as well)
I also used a clear blue digital which told me I was 2-3 weeks in Spanish 🤣

Mammacooks · 19/05/2020 11:02

@BecsterG I already made that mistake! I got 3+ on Sunday and then 2-3 yesterday and of course totally freaked out. It’s 3+ today and I’m on the cusp of 5weeks so I think it’s okay but it’s definitely made me learn my lesson. That and my husbands utter shock at the amount of tests I’ve done.
I hope everyone has a lovely sunny day today x

BecsterG · 19/05/2020 11:53

Ahh @Mammacooks yeah exactly what I experienced. Completely crapped myself but waited two days and it was back up. I had an early scan the week after which helped settle my nerves.

After my first early scan I stopped POAS I think. I was obsessed and got my BFP 4 days before my period was due! Ha ha

OP posts:
Mammacooks · 19/05/2020 12:16

Wow @BecsterG I don’t know how you managed to stay sane. I only got my BFP 5 days after my period was due. Purely for fear of getting a v faint positive again.
I am going to book an early scan for around the 6-7 week mark. X

So satisfying 😍

Anyone else on not there update your weeks and I'll add you 🙌

MilsCookie · 19/05/2020 12:42

Ahhhh I love seeing that @champoopapi - thanks for doing it! Has your due date changed at all because of the twins? I expect mine will be born in December rather than Jan but I'll keep the due date the same for now until I know more!

@BS9790 sorry forgot to reply! I still don't know whether I'm expected to return because I live with my in-laws who are both in the vulnerable category, so I haven't been in at all since lockdown began and have bene WFH. What about you? I'm with Y6 at the mo so it's tricky! Also I love that you've looked at nub theory to try and work out the sex, I'll definitely be doing that with mine haha! x

TerribleImagination · 19/05/2020 13:25

Thanks for updating the list @ChampooPapi, that’s amazing! 😍😍

Zoey36 · 19/05/2020 14:04

I'm having a BOY!!!! Everything looked fine on the scan! I was right about boy and anterior placenta.....I'm trying to not be disappointed with the boy news...eeeeek.

I stayed in the waiting room for 30 minutes talking to a lady waiting for her scan because I was so excited to have adult conversation hahahaha! My little girl said we should call the baby Moonbaby and she is adamant it is a girl! Oops!!!

BecsterG · 19/05/2020 14:24

Aww Great news @Zoey36! I know you wanted two girls but people tell me boys are easier if that helps? I've loved having a little boy and I'm excited to have another although would have been lovely too to have a girl.

@Mammacooks yeah I was a little insane. I just had a feeling though as my boobs were burning days before and I never get anything boob related before my period.

@ChampooPapi thanks for updating. So lovely to see everyone progress!

Those that have had a baby before, so you feel like your pelvic floor has already weakened? I've just noticed it in the last few weeks. I dress to think what it will be like full term! 😂 It was OK before pregnancy

TerribleImagination · 19/05/2020 14:25

Ahhh amazing @Zoey36!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Whiffle77 · 19/05/2020 14:38

Ahhh lovely news @Zoey36 really pleased for you!! Did you feel shattered after talking for so long?! I chatted to a neighbour for awhile the other week and I was exhausted afterwards as I wasn't used to social interaction 😂
@Mammacooks I stopped doing tests after a week, they weren't really reassuring me plus I still got positives after my MC so it seemed silly! I think we all have a period where we feel compelled to do it though

Thanks for the list update @ChampooPapi

ChampooPapi · 19/05/2020 16:05

@Zoey36 that's fantastic news to log on and see! Absolutely brilliant 👣✨🌈
