Hi Ladies, hoping you all can join soon. The TTC (trying to conceive) after MC (miscarriage) January group have been so supportive I hope we can keep it up for those who have BFP (big fat positive).

@BS9790 I'm 5'11 and definitely didn't show until at least 5 months with my son. It literally popped over night and being tall you carry it well as the baby and bumb has a lot more room. Everyone is different though and carries it different so don't worry it will come.

As soon as I got pregnant I wanted a bump! I was carrying a lot of 'extra' weight and being pregnant makes me like my body more. 😂

Today is my day off so I actually get to play with my son which is nice after 4 days of trying to parent and work full days. It's my husbands week on a work though so it's just us this weekend so going to go for a longish walk soon to get out the house.

Really can't wait to see a friend even if at a distance. I'm in Scotland though so no idea when that will happen! 🤷🏻‍♀️

How's everyone feeling?

I'm not really a fan of messaging/telephone calls, I much prefer to speak with people in person, so I'm looking forward to being able to do that. Being able to see one person from a distance is arbitrary and pointless!

Enjoy your day off, @BecsterG.

DH has taken the day off because he hasn't had a day off since February apart from bank holidays, and he really enjoyed his three day weekend last week, so he's reading with DS while I laze around MN-ing tidy the bedroom and change the bed Grin

BecsterG · 15/05/2020 10:50

Sounds great @FireflyGirl

Oh yeah I can't wait for a bit of normal interaction. If it was sunny I'd happily sit in the park with my friend 2 meets away though and catch up properly without the kids. I guess it will come in time!

@BecsterG Where abouts in Scotland are you? My Mum is from Glasgow and grew up in Paisley. Although we’ve lived in England my entire life 🤷🏻‍♀️

BecsterG · 15/05/2020 10:56

@TerribleImagination we are in Glasgow. Lived in Scotland most of my life although was in Hampshire for 18 months with my husbands job a few years ago and loved it.

@BecsterG Ah lush! Glasgow is such a lovely city ❤️ My mum misses it so much! Coincidently I was born in Hampshire 😆 in Southampton!

MilsCookie · 15/05/2020 12:38

Ahhhhh ladies I've just had some pink spotting when I wiped. DP and I did dtd this morning for this first time in a while so wondering if that caused it? Had a bit of cramping last night though so panicking now Confused in fact I feel terrified and don't know what to do!!

TerribleImagination · 15/05/2020 13:11

@MilsCookie Oh lovey!! I can absolutely understand why you’d freak out, I would do the same for sure, but it’s more than likely DTD that’s aggravated your cervix a bit. Do whatever you need to do for peace of mind. You’re over 6 weeks now, so you can call EPAU and see if they’ll do a scan? Are you still having cramps now? Sending you a massive hug. I’m sure it’s all going to be ok ❤️

Sparkl · 15/05/2020 14:36

@MilsCookie I’ve been doing a lot of googling about this the last few days as you can imagine! I’d say that it is the dtd, it seems to be very common after that.

I’m also feeling a bit crampy, well maybe more a kind of ache rather than cramp. And am still getting brownish Cm when I wipe. So I’m a nervous wreck too.

Maybe give your gp a call or epu and just ask their advice. That’s what they’re there for. 💕

MilsCookie · 15/05/2020 16:13

Thank you both... @Sparkl I'm sorry you've been going through this too. It's terrifying.

I am having lower back cramps as well so can't help but think the worst. Luckily I called my EPU and they were amazing and booked me in for a scan at 10am tomorrow. So I suppose I'll find out one way or another what's going on... will keep you posted xx

BecsterG · 15/05/2020 16:13

Sorry to hear that @MilsCookie Like the girls have said it's probably likely to be because of DTD but I'd call EPU or GP whatever is common practise in England and see what they say. As you're past the 6 week mark you might be offered a scan.

So hard not to worry I know. I had quite a bit of spotting with my son and every time I freaked out and called the EPU as I wanted reassurance. If they think they need to scan you then they will. X

@TerribleImagination yeah we love Glasgow. Such a vibrant city without COVID! Ha ha Strangely we were in Gosport so not far from Southampton. I went here a few times to go to John Lewis and Ikea! Ha ha

Sorry to hear this @MilsCookie but it can be really normal! Obviously we will naturally always think the worst though. That good news you have a scan booked already, hope time passes quickly for you and you dont worry too much! Will keep my fingers firmly crossed for you

ChampooPapi · 15/05/2020 18:04

@MilsCookie oh my god you must be going crazy, I'm so sorry I've only just seen your update on here. It is really really scary I know, but honestly it is one of the most common things. I know from my past pregnancies that after sex this always happens to me so I banned it this time until after 12 weeks, I just couldnt handle any more extra worry even if I knew what it was very likely to be. It messes with your head and plays on every insecurity about the pregnancy, I am so sorry your in that place today but honestly you will have a good outcome tomorrow, you have made it past six weeks so your chances are really good and it's obviously related to the cervical irritation. We are here for you 💜🥰

Sparkl · 15/05/2020 19:06

That’s great that they could fit you in so quickly @MilsCookie. It’s definitely worth getting peace of mind, such an anxious time. Will be keeping everything crossed for you tomorrow.

TerribleImagination · 15/05/2020 19:22

I 100% echo what @ChampooPapi said @MilsCookie... I spoke to my best mate (who’s a midwife) today and mentioned what you’re going through today and as soon as I said you’d have sex this morning, she immediately relaxed and said that’ll definitely be what’s caused it. Thinking of you and hope you manage to get some rest tonight ❤️

FireflyGirl · 15/05/2020 21:04

Sorry to hear about the spotting, @MilsCookie. I've read in lots of books that having sex can cause it, but it's so worrying after everything you've been through.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Hard I know, but try to get some rest tonight Cake

MilsCookie · 15/05/2020 21:18

Thank you girls so much. Your comments make me want to cry, you're all so lovely!!! I honestly don't know what I'd do without you. I've spoke to DP a little bit but don't want to worry him more than he already is. So being able to speak to you all here means a lot.

Interesting that it can be caused by sex. I didn't get any spotting at all last time after sex (until I was 11 weeks but that was the beginning of the end, although I was so naive I just thought it was normal) so it's really hard not to flashback to the last time I had pink spotting and what that meant. But yes. Absolutely amazing that they were happy to scan me and could fit me in tomorrow.

If it's the worst then I'll be an absolute wreck and probably won't be able to say much but I'll let you know how it goes. What will be will be xxxxx 🙏🤞🏻🌈

FireflyGirl · 16/05/2020 08:41

Good luck this morning, @MilsCookie. I have everything possible crossed for you!

If it is bad news, don't worry about us, just take care of yourself Flowers

BS9790 · 16/05/2020 10:24

Just caught up!
Hope everything goes OK this morning @MilsCookie, thinking of you and sending positive thoughts xxx

I also read that spotting is common after sex, so I'm at 16 weeks now and we still haven't dtd as I couldn't cope with the extra stress! Xx

ChampooPapi · 16/05/2020 11:29

@MilsCookie thinking of you lovely 💜

ChampooPapi · 16/05/2020 11:31

@BS9790 I've said after 12 week scan which is Monday, I'll be nearly twelve and a half by then. But I'm sure I could change my mind! My partner has been fairly patient though especially after having him go from months of practically daily sex to conceive, to nothing 😅

MilsCookie · 16/05/2020 12:24

Hey ladies... thank you SO much for all your messages. They really helped me this morning when I was a nervous wreck and had to wait for AGES for the scan!!

So the sonographer did an abdominal scan to start with and THANK GOD she saw a gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal heartbeat. I was SO relieved!!

Then she wanted to do an internal scan as well.... and discovered that there are actually TWO heartbeats!!!!!! Both in the same sac!! TWINS! I am so so shocked! @ChampooPapi I'm going to need you to hold my hand for the next 8 months!!!!!!!!!!!

TerribleImagination · 16/05/2020 12:37

@MilsCookie This is the best news EVER!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sparkl · 16/05/2020 13:03

@MilsCookie this is amazing!!! I’m so delighted to hear that all is well. Can’t believe we have another set of twins! You must be so relieved.
