Can't wait to add all the others 🙌

ChampooPapi · 10/05/2020 20:51

It's such a useful thing to refer to as it's so hard to remember off the top of ones head

MrsB16 · 10/05/2020 21:26

Can I be added please, I’m 20+6 due 21 September 2020

Thank you!

MilsCookie · 10/05/2020 22:54

@ChampooPapi awww huge cuddle back to you! Bless you that sounds like you've had an awful couple of days. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better now! Even though it must really suck to feel so so rotten just keep remembering that you're going through all of this to get your babies

TerribleImagination · 11/05/2020 09:12

Love seeing that list @ChampooPapi ❤️ Thank you for putting that together! And huge cuddles right back at ya 😘 That sucks about the migranes, poor you! Glad you’ve come out the other side of it though 👍🏻

It was my DP’s birthday yesterday (he’s a twin) and I made a little birthday video for him and his brother and I thought of you while I was making it! There were so many pics from when they were kids, and in some of them it’s just so obvious from looking at them how much they love each other 😍 They’ve always been each other’s best friends and every time my DP saw his brother on FaceTime yesterday his face just lit up. There’s something about twins that’s just so so special, their bond is like no sibling bond I’ve ever known, it’s just wonderful!

Thanks for starting the list, @ChampooPapi. I've updated it with mine and @MrsB16's details.

I had a burst of energy on Thursday and deep cleaned the kitchen, but then had a couple of bad nights' sleep so have felt pretty rough for most of the weekend. I managed a VE Day afternoon tea, though Grin

Also ordered a new car seat for the baby. Was in two minds, but it was on special offer for 1/3 of the price. It's the same one we have for DS, and is suitable from birth to age 12, so is a good investment. So while I was on there I ordered a new nappy bag (my last one fell to bits) and a large muslin (because they are incredibly useful).

ChampooPapi · 11/05/2020 10:04

Thanks @FireflyGirl 🥰 I can't believe your 15 weeks! Amazing 🙌

Looking at it is such a positive thing, after everything we've all gone through and now we are looking at a fairly long list of women who are all pregnant again. I love it so much 🥰

BecsterG · 11/05/2020 10:11

Thanks for doing this @ChampooPapi so lovely to see. I forget how far along people are all the time. Shocking memory!

I've had a bit more energy lately and have been staying up a bit later but the last two days I've been so tired. I wear a Fitbit and I've been getting hardly any deep sleep which is annoying. I'm quite uncomfortable when I sleep which must cause it.

Oh my goodness me that list is so satisfying to look at. Thank you so much for doing it @ChampooPapi. So true as well look how many brilliant women are pregnant again after the trauma we all had to go through. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and we will get our rainbows

TerribleImagination · 11/05/2020 12:11

Ahhh hi @kkr168 👋🏻 And yeay to being on a much more exciting thread together! 😆 How are you lovey?

MrsB16 · 11/05/2020 12:41

Thank you for adding me on. I’m finding my anxiety is through the roof at the moment as they are cancelling all of my appointments. I had my booking appointment and 12 week scan before the lock down but since then my 16 week and 24 week appointments have both been cancelled. I had my 20 week scan last week and things were looking good but I can’t help me anxious. This is my first baby and I miscarried at 8 weeks last time so I have no idea whether things I’m feeling now are normal or not. My next appointment is 28 weeks on 29 June which means I wouldn’t have seen my midwife in 20 weeks!! It’s really not helping an anxious first time mum.

I had elevated iron levels in my 8 week bloods and they said I needed to stop taking pregnancy vitamins and recheck at 20 weeks to make sure they are lower as it could be an indication of pre-eclampsia post 20 weeks. I asked for a blood test at the hospital and they said no. So I called the midwife to ask for my bloods to be redone (as I had been told to do after my 8 week scan!). The midwife didn’t answer but text back (spelling my name incorrectly) that guidance has changed and this could now wait until my 28 week appointment despite being told how important it was in a follow up call after my initial bloods.

I had to fight my drs surgery to get my whooping cough vaccination this afternoon after the receptionist told me it was that important because we are going into the summer. I know that is the case for the flu vaccine but not whooping cough!

I just feel very vulnerable and abandoned by the midwives at the moment. Sorry for the rant but being pregnant is scary enough without mentally battling a loss and being a first time mum with no experience of pregnancy before. I’m just praying everyday that my little girl is ok.

Whiffle77 · 11/05/2020 14:05

Thanks @ChampooPapi for putting the list together, looks great! Hope to add a few more people to it soon.

FireflyGirl · 11/05/2020 15:11

Flowers @MrsB16. Sorry you're struggling at the moment. If you feel up to it, I would put a complaint in. Cancelling both appointments without rearranging is not on.

My local hospital have a daily 'ask the midwife' session on Facebook. Might be worth checking yours, if not, PM me and I'll send you the details for mine. They won't know whether you're local or not, and probably won't mind too much anyway!

I had a letter through with the date of my anomoly scan, 15th June, when I'll be dead on 20 weeks. I have my fingers crossed that the restrictions will be lifted before then as I'd like DH to be able to come (though he's not bothered as long as everything is ok).

BS9790 · 12/05/2020 09:11

@MrsB16 I feel exactly the same.
It says on the RCOG guidelines, that 16 and 24 week appointments should be omitted at this time... So they're only following guidance but I still feel so frustrated.

I think I've got a UTI again and I couldnt get hold of my GP or midwife yesterday.

I've got a blood condition which needs monitoring during Pregnancy and at this rate im expecting my levels not to be checked until I'm 28 weeks! I last had them done at 6 weeks, as they did then in A&E after a fall, so didn't need to repeat them at my booking appt when I was 7 weeks. Xx

TerribleImagination · 12/05/2020 10:08

@Sparkl I hope your scan goes well today lovey. Thinking of you! ❤️

Sparkl · 12/05/2020 14:03

Thanks @TerribleImagination and thanks all for the welcome.
Spotting has come and gone over the last few days. But at the scan this morning everything seemed fine. It’s obviously very early days but they could see a faint heartbeat. No clues about what’s causing the spotting. Doctor wasn’t that helpful really, I was asking about progesterone and blood tests and she kind of brushed me off. But maybe once you see the heartbeat that’s all you need. She said ‘and you’ve just had the one miscarriage?’, I guess they see people with multiple losses but still.

Anyway, I feel better but not as anxiety reducing as I hoped!

Great to see that list of dates!

MilsCookie · 12/05/2020 14:22

So glad everything went well at your scan lovely @Sparkl!! That's amazing they could detect the heartbeat! Did you get to see/hear it? Sorry the doctor was a bit dismissive, I hate when they're like that. Just because it's their job and they see people in our positions every day doesn't mean they shouldn't be a bit more sensitive and understanding. I'm not saying it's all doctors but from my own experience I've definitely had some better than others!! At least you know things are progressing as they should so hopefully that's reassured you a little bit 😘

TerribleImagination · 12/05/2020 14:54

That’s such good news @Sparkl, a little heartbeat! 😍😍 Obvs not so great about the doctor being a bit of a bellend.

Glad you’re feeling a little better after that ❤️

Zoey36 · 12/05/2020 15:19

@Sparkl great news about the scan! Sorry that the doctor used the word 'just'. It makes me very very angry. But yay for a heartbeat!!!

BecsterG · 12/05/2020 15:50

Great news about the scan @Sparkl. Could just be from the baby burrowing deep into your tissue? Try not to worry now you've seen a heartbeat. Take each day as it comes

Whiffle77 · 12/05/2020 15:54

Really pleased about your scan @Sparkl that's really good news. Hope it has reduced your worry a bit but it is so hard! Sorry about your doctor, hopefully you just caught them in a bad day but its crappy when people are dismissive of your feelings and loss! Will you have another scan or are you waiting until 12 weeks now?
