@TerribleImagination the congratulations was to you. Sorry. Didn't tag oops

Whiffle77 · 07/05/2020 14:49

Ahhh congratulations @BecsterG really pleased everything is ok! Lots of lovely scans at the minute!
Welcome @grace0206 sorry for your loss but congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm nearly 10 weeks now and have found this first trimester to be really hard. It's easy to analyse every twinge and symptom and feeling but really it all means nothing! All you can do is keep ticking off each day until another week is ticked off. It's hard but all of us here know how you feel so there is always lots of support.

BecsterG · 07/05/2020 14:59

Thanks everyone.

@GRACE0206 welcome to the group and congratulations! It is a scary time but try and stay positive until you know something different. As the girls have said statistics are on your side so fingers crossed for a sticky bean x

Firstly huge congratulations @BecsterG on the scan and the news your having a boy! 🎉👶💙

And thank you so much for everyone's lovely messages the last 24 hours. I had to go cold turkey on mumsnet and the internet generally the last few days as I was getting so so anxious and thinking constantly about the scan. Just really kind and open hearted messages from you guys, reading them this morning on the train to the scan have me so much inner strength and kept my chin up those last few hours.

Ladies I'm just sorry I've only just updated. Everything was completely fine, measuring 11 weeks a piece, I was going mad, completely mad the 48 hours before it all.

The train journey to Exeter was incredible 😆😬. I honestly felt like I was on low level anthetamins or something, I was exhausted but simoltaniously buzzing with adrenaline, it was so intense!.

The sun was streaming through the window as I passed all the beaches at dawlish on the way back. I couldn't have done it with anyone to be honest, virus or no virus. It was so unbelievably intense on the way there then to return being with my own thoughts to ponder, and wonder, and look out and the spectacular scenery, felt so awesome, that it was just so special actually being solo and quiet.

I'll upload the photo 😊

ChampooPapi · 07/05/2020 19:12

@MilsCookie @TerribleImagination love you guys 🤗

ChampooPapi · 07/05/2020 19:15

Thing one and thing two 🙌

OH MY GOODNESSSSSSS!!!! LOOK AT THOSE ABSOLUTE BEAUTIES!!!! Oh my god just what an absolute RELIEF! @champoopapi !!!! I can't even imagine how intense that train journey must have been. And I don't blame you at all for switching off MN - it can definitely be all consuming at times. But I'm just SO happy for you that everything looked good! And those scan pics are so clear!! You must just be on cloud 9. Not long to go now till your Harmony test! Are you going to find out the genders?

BecsterG · 07/05/2020 20:15

Congratulations @ChampooPapi amazing pictures! So pleased everything is good with the twins. You can breath a sigh in relief. When is your harmony test?

Awww @ChampooPapi I’m SO HAPPY to see these pics!! What a pair of absolute cuties!! 😍😍😍😍

FireflyGirl · 07/05/2020 20:36

What lovely pictures @ChampooPapi, congratulations ❤️

BS9790 · 07/05/2020 21:23

Great news @BecsterG and @ChampooPapi...
Wonderful scan pics ❤️

ChampooPapi · 07/05/2020 21:47

@FireflyGirl @BS9790 thanks ladies, you've both been so kind 💜

@BecsterG I had the Harmony test today, they do a scan first to confirm the pregnancy and dates as the test must not be done before 10 weeks. So we should know the results in a week and the genders as well which is absolutely crazy!

ChampooPapi · 07/05/2020 21:59

@MilsCookie arhhh thank you so much for your wonderful message, you make me so happy when I see your name on here, I grin from ear to ear! I think to myself 'oh good, miles is here!' 🥰 how are you feeling anyway now? Any symptoms creeping in other then metallic taste? I pray you do not suffer the all day sickness times, I just hope you get enough symptoms not to worry but not enough to think your actually being poisoned from the inside out 😆

My harmony test is all down and dusted now. Twelve week scan next Monday where I was informed it's still very advisable to have the bloods as they test for the flow of the placenta so that was very useful information. No need to have the screening tests done again, though they would be low anyway because of my age.

MilsCookie · 08/05/2020 10:03

@ChampooPapi ahhhh thank you lovely!! Your messages always make me smile too. You've been there for me a lot over the last few months and always know the right thing to say! 🤗 Oh cool I didn't realise they could do it at the same time, can't believe you'll get the results next week! Do you have any feelings about whether they're boys or girls? Or one of each?! 😃 I don't have too many symptoms yet although I'm only 5+2 (or 5+5 going by LMP but I'm pretty sure I ovulated late so won't be that far yet!) so it does make me worry. The main thing seems to be an incredible tiredness that comes and goes. I've had to have a fair few afternoon naps over the last week! I have really sore boobs and occasional cramps (more like a heavy pressure feeling in my uterus) but that's it really. Obviously I am worrying that I should be feeling more sick! I suppose that could still come though. Or hopefully not at all (if baby is okay!) how are you feeling?

How is everyone else doing today? Whose is the next scan we're counting down to? 🌈🌈🌈

BS9790 · 08/05/2020 10:33

@MilsCookie, don't worry about not feeling sick. From very early I had sore boobs until around 8 weeks (they're mostly fine now) and cramps and twinges from 4 weeks... And I'm still having random pains now. But I had no sickness and everything has been fine!
I occasionally felt a bit sick if I needed to eat but that was all. Xx

MilsCookie · 08/05/2020 11:35

@BS9790 thank you for the reassurance lovely, that makes me feel a lot better! Last time (with the mmc) I did feel sick from 4-9 weeks and that obviously didn't mean anything positive anyway! I guess all pregnancies are different. How are you feeling? How many weeks are you now? x

BS9790 · 08/05/2020 12:09

@MilsCookie I was so sick last time, I was being sick before I got my bfp and was sick up until the MC. So think I was actually relieved I didn't have the sickness this time.

Ill be 15 weeks tomorrow, I'm quite anxious at the moment. It's a strange time I think, as I actually feel OK...early pregnancy signs have gone and too early for a bump/movement...so just feel normal!
I get dull aches around my belly and get bloated as the day goes on.

Can't wait for a bump to appear! X

ChampooPapi · 08/05/2020 13:10

@MilsCookie I'd say for most people week six to seven is when real severe neseua begins, chances are with you symptoms last time that you will get sickness again. But hopefully it won't be as bad, but try and do anything this weekend you've been putting off just in case you do fall hard next week.

I was literally just like you the within a week I was absolutely dead on the sofa! And basically out of action for the proceeding 4 weeks. No symptoms are no bad thing but about 70% of women do suffer from quite bad neseua so prepare and stock up on things like fruit, potatoes, ice lollies/sorbet, cheese and bread ect.

With this pregnancy and every other previous pregnancy I've always had sickness, including pregnancies that ended in no baby. So definitely prepare for the worst lovely

Oh and a girl and a boy would be pretty perfect as we have two girls already. Goes without saying we all wish for healthy children but after two girls it would be lovely to have a combination of both

ChampooPapi · 08/05/2020 13:14

And I obviously mean prepare for the worst sickness wise both baby wise 🤦 oh my god, you've got to laugh really when you re read these things sometimes haven't you? I mean what else can we do. At least I know you have a sense of humor, after everything we've been through I do sometimes think it's like we went aloud to be blunt or funny about any of it. But Jesus when I read that I was like 'oh god what!' 🤭

ChampooPapi · 08/05/2020 13:15

*sickness wise NOT baby wise

I give up 🤐

Whiffle77 · 08/05/2020 13:30

Oh yay @champoopapi what lovely pics! You must have been so happy to see them again - and not long to go until the next time! How exciting!
I am feeling super anxious today but for lots of chores to keep me busy, so just trying to crack on with that! Tomorrow will be another day

ChampooPapi · 08/05/2020 14:13

@Whiffle77 yes just keep on keeping on basically. The days pass slower in the first trimester at the best of times but currently with lockdown they do crawl past. It is a really really hard time, just remember every day is a day closer to your baby. How are you feeling generally? How long until your scan do you know yet?

ChampooPapi · 08/05/2020 14:23

We should do a round up of everyone's due dates/weeks. It's so useful for reference as well. It usually starts with the person due the first at the top of the list then works way downwards in weeks 🐣

ChampooPapi · 08/05/2020 14:25

I'll add mine,

11 weeks 1, twins, due 26/11/20
