Hi Ladies, hoping you all can join soon. The TTC (trying to conceive) after MC (miscarriage) January group have been so supportive I hope we can keep it up for those who have BFP (big fat positive).

Hope everyone is doing okay today? @TerribleImagination how's the spotting? I went to bed last night with a banging headache - must have been a sudden surge in hormones cos I tested again this morning and the test line was the same colour as the control line! Darkest it's been!

@ChampooPapi and @BecsterG how are you both feeling about tomorrow? xx

TerribleImagination · 06/05/2020 10:33

@MilsCookie I’ve been good and haven’t been checking! Although did once last night and had thicker stuff but not at all brown anymore, woohoo! God the things we talk about on this journey eh 😂

That’s brilliant the test is even darker! What tests are you using? The FRER I used yesterday morning had the same, both lines as dark as each other 😍 Hormone headaches are the WORST aren’t they? I usually get them leading up the ovulation, such a pain!

So excited for you guys getting your scans tomorrow @BecsterG and @ChampooPapi 😍 I hope you’re both feeling ok.

BecsterG · 06/05/2020 10:39

@TerribleImagination @MilsCookie I've actually just had a call from the hospital checking I've nor anyone in my house has any Covid symptoms and to remind me only I am allowed in the maternity hospital tomorrow! Ha ha as if I could forget that.

I'm excited and nervous at the same time. We're also going to find out the sex so excited about that too. I think it's a boy but only because of how the kids seem to be in our family in that generation but have no gut feelings etc. I really hope today is a fast day as I just want it to be this time tomorrow and I'm there waiting to go in! Ekk

@ChampooPapi how are you feeling?

That's great you've had no more borne spotting @TerribleImagination

@MilsCookie rubbish about the headache. I've had quite a lot of headaches with this pregnancy.

Whoops no idea what that's all bold. Wish there was an edit function in MN!

@TerribleImagination - haha I know! I wouldn't talk about half the stuff I chat about on here with anyone I know in real life!! I haven't had loads of cm but when I do it's quite thick and creamy... mmmm!! Hormone headaches really suck - I usually get them at the start of my cycle!! I've been using the Femometer tests that came with my pack of 50 OPKs haha - I also did an opk (because why not?!) and that was really dark so it must be true about them picking up HCG as well as LH! I've got one CB digital left to use but gonna save it for when I think I'd hopefully get a "3+" ! Really glad your spotting has gone away!! Sending positive vibes xxx

MilsCookie · 06/05/2020 10:42

@BecsterG posted at the same time! Weird cos it didn't come up as bold on my laptop! Eeeeek so excited for you! It must feel like it's taken ages to get to this date! Do you have a preference for boy or girl? I think I wanna know the gender too... but taking one day at a time!! x

BecsterG · 06/05/2020 10:45

@MilsCookie we had a surprise with my son so I thought we'd find out this time plus it means I can be more organised. I'd love a girl as their clothes are so cute etc but I think a baby brother would be lovely for my son. My nephews get on so well and as boys have similar interest. We have a lot of same sex siblings in both sides of our family in our children's generation but strange not in the generations above which are boy irk boy girl bar my gran. Strange how genetics work.

I've been looking up old wives tales like crazy trying to decide what I think it is but I'm going to stick with boy. Most people have said girl but they've not seen me and I think would just think it would be nice! Ha ha

A healthy baby is all we want. It does feel like it's taken ages to get her but also at the same time I can't believe I'm almost 20 weeks.

MilsCookie · 06/05/2020 18:13

@BecsterG that's interesting that in your children's generation they're all same sex siblings. Maybe you'll be the one to break the trend! Do you have your 12 week scan pic? I'd love to have a guess! But can keep it to myself if you'd rather not know what I think haha. Are you going to tell anyone or keep it to yourself? So happy for you to have reached 20 weeks! xx

BecsterG · 06/05/2020 18:42

@MilsCookie I do but it's really not clear so hard to see. I'll attach it though. I'll also attach my 10 week internal scan. Feel free to guess. People have been guessing for weeks.

Yes only my youngest SIL (I have 3) is different as she had one boy (sadly died at 1 week) and then two girls. So genetics would say boy but you're right we could break the folder.

We will share if they are pretty sure in the scan. I also am tempted to get a private scan to get it confirmed. Nervous it will be wrong. If they say girl I'll defo get another scan.

@BecsterG ohhh thank you so much for sharing I love looking at scan pics!! Well based on my very limited knowledge I would say that looks like a girl! But obviously I'm no expert haha. I'm sorry for your SIL's first baby too... that must have been an awfully sad time. I suppose you don't have much longer to wait to find out! What time is the scan?

BecsterG · 06/05/2020 19:31

@MilsCookie I like looking at scans too. My 12 week one was rubbish though. Baby wasn't playing ball so I hope we get some good pictures tomorrow. My appointment is at 10:40.

Thank you. Yes it was a sad time. She has gone on to have two beautiful healthy girls x

MilsCookie · 06/05/2020 21:00

@BecsterG ahhhh that must have been so frustrating at the 12 weeks. But at least they could tell you all was well! Will be thinking of you tomorrow (and you @ChampooPapi !!) let us know how it goes!!! xxx

P.s. I'm so happy for your SIL that she now has her daughters. I love hearing positive stories after loss - they give me lots of hope x

Zoey36 · 06/05/2020 21:29

Excited for the scans tomorrow! Hope you manage to sleep well tonight - I know it can be such an anxious time.

I was really proud of myself today! Had some blood when wiping. Not much at all but you will all know what thay does in your head! I didn't panic! I was rational and logical (we had sex last night) and didn't just creat a catastrophe in my head. Nothing since and can feel baby moving fine! I know it seems so silly but I know that you will all understand! Maybe you can enjoy pregnancy after miscarriage!??!

BecsterG · 06/05/2020 21:48

@Zoey36 well done you! You definitely can enjoy pregnancy after miscarriage but I think you have to get over a few of the first milestones before you relax into it more. Also once you can fee movement it's a different ball game right.

Thanks will let you know how it goes x

Morning, and good luck today @BecsterG and @ChampooPapi. Looking forward to seeing your scan pics later!

BecsterG · 07/05/2020 12:52

Hi Ladies, I've had my scan and all is perfect with the baby. We are team blue 💙❤️. Couldn't get really clear pictures as again the baby was not playing ball x

OP posts:
MilsCookie · 07/05/2020 13:03

@BecsterG that's fantastic news!!! And team blue! You were right in your theory of same sex siblings! (and I was wrong haha) what a relief to just know everything is going well. Now you really can relax! (I hope Smile) and you can definitely see your little bubba in there! What a cutie!

BecsterG · 07/05/2020 13:05

@MilsCookie thank you. I'm rarely right with a babies sex but I was this time! Grin

Hi all. Have joined the thread after finding out last week I am pregnant after a mmc in Jan. Trying to not even think about it after last time as I got too excited too quickly. I think I'm about 5w1d and my hcg levels have doubled in last 48 hours which is good. Today is first day in about 9 I haven't had any cramp pain so I've started to panic now that it's a mmc again as the cramps stopped last time and we think it was about the time the baby, stopped growing. Am I just panicking over nothing?

TerribleImagination · 07/05/2020 13:40

Hi @Grace0206 👋🏻 Welcome! I’m in a similar boat to you, having recently found out I’m pregnant again after a MC in December. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow also trying to play it all down until I can get an early scan and some kind of good confirmation there! That’s great you’re having your HCG levels checked though, are your docs doing that for you?

Trust me I know it’s SO HARD, but try not to panic. Every pregnancy is different and statistically you’ve had your bad luck already, we all have. You’ve been that 1 in 4 and now there’s every chance that you’ll be with the 75% of women who have perfectly successful pregnancies ❤️ That’s what I keep telling myself when I have any anxiety.

TerribleImagination · 07/05/2020 13:41

Awww congrats on the scan @BecsterG and a little boy!! How exciting!! 😍😍😍

GRACE0206 · 07/05/2020 13:50

It's such a horrible time after experiencing that isn't it, although statistically you are right. Yes doctor did it for me just to check, possibly after Last time. I know I'm also high risk with a short cervix so I think I'll be closely monitored which is a positive. Everything scares me now as I know it'll be a complicated road ahead.

Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

FireflyGirl · 07/05/2020 13:52

Congratulations on your new little boy @BecsterG 💙
