Hi Ladies, hoping you all can join soon. The TTC (trying to conceive) after MC (miscarriage) January group have been so supportive I hope we can keep it up for those who have BFP (big fat positive).

@Zoey36 yes would be so hard if it was your first.

That's good she'll come round if you need her 👍🏻

Hi all, how is everyone doing amid all this? I got my bfp a week ago. I was on the ttc after miscarriage thread from November until March, so took 5 months but we got there 🙌

My announcement and happiness was spoilt a little by the Coronavirus stuff I guess, and another poster unfortunately who did not seem very pleased for me, instead 'popped' back on to essentially make me feel guilty about something.

Feeling positive now and I've done my last test today at just over 5 weeks so we can just keep positive and hoping that it works out.

It has been a very hard few months but I am incredibly grateful for the support here so I really wanted to be a part of everyones journey here as I have been walking side by side with a lot of you on here for months.

Here's to our rainbows 💜 and getting through the queasiness together 😣

ChampooPapi · 27/03/2020 07:32

Oh and I've had 4 pregnancies and 2 live births so anyone needs advise on anything pregnancy I have some experience to attempt to help.

My one saviour when the sickness was very bad has been bird's eye potato waffles, I've actually posted that on another thread as well, because they are close to godlyness 🙏

When trying to keep anything down, or attempting to just feel a tiny bit better they are the best!

BecsterG · 27/03/2020 13:10

Congratulations @ChampooPapi that's wonderful news. Shame about the other poster but pleased you've moved on from it and being positive. You have nothing to feel guilty about.

Sounds like you've had lots of experience with pregnancy. This is my third pregnancy. One live birth and one MC in November. I'm 14 weeks tomorrow with this baby due end of September and I finally feel like I can relax a little and get excited about having a baby. Still very scary though.

How have you been feeling? X

ChampooPapi · 27/03/2020 17:23

You can definitely feel excited now @BecsterG, you have r I remember your bfp from the other thread @BecsterG, yoo

ChampooPapi · 27/03/2020 17:31

Sorry my phone went completely bonkers there !

What I mean to say is @BecsterG you can absolutely get excited now, you have made the 12 week milestone and beyond. I am amazed it was ten weeks ago that you posted your bfp, time has flown really and it won't be long until your holding that beautiful baby. How old is your little one? Are you toddler wrangling in isolation currently? I hope you have some outside space, it is a godsend with a little one at the moment. I am so grateful for our walled garden, my 2 year old has just lived out there the past week or so.

No symptoms other then very tired and a very feeble mind 😆

Congratulations on everyone's positives after having a loss, it is so hard and the anxiety and worry with pregnancy is quadrupled after miscarriage because of knowing that other side.

BecsterG · 27/03/2020 18:09

I know it's madness it was 10 weeks ago @ChampooPapi although it felt like a long time whilst I was in the waiting bit and with sickness etc felt like eternity.

My wee boy is 2, 3 a week on Sunday. Yes we have a garden and I agree it's a godsend. Really don't know how people in flats with kids do it. We've been going out for walk late morning ish and for a good while so by the time we're back and have lunch and quiet time we've only really got a few hours until dinner. Ha ha

Enjoy this moment as it's so exciting when you first get your BFP although I appreciate that it's scary too but there's no reason this pregnancy won't stick and be the one. Positive thinking!

Hello!!! ❤️ @ChampooPapi so glad you joined this thread! How are you doing??? I'm suffering bad nausea and sore boobs. Headaches on an evening. So glad I'm off work through this madness as it means I can rest! Xxxx

FireflyGirl · 27/03/2020 20:53

Congratulations @ChampooPapi. Glad to see you joining us!

Are people not coming across from the conception threads, or are there not many BFPs?

I find the more tired I am, the worse I feel, @AlviesMam, so just try and rest whenever you can.

I don't envy you with a pre-schooler, @BecsterG. DS has just turned 5, and is pretty sedentary, but we've been outside for a few hours a day and it's helped keep me sane!

BecsterG · 27/03/2020 21:02

@FireflyGirl well it's been 10 days for us and we've not had a tantrum yet. He doesn't really understand but seems happy enough so far. I know the tantrums will come though. He gets angrier by the day which is what he does when he's out of his normal routine. Ha ha the joys. Oh well hoping we'll survive it. Grin

I'm pleased he's not a baby though as at least he can entertain himself for a bit.

What crazy times we live in.

AlviesMam · 28/03/2020 12:39

@FireflyGirl I feel like I'm resting all the time now I'm off work!! Feel so lazy haha my nausea today is really bad. Had mango pieces for breakfast and now I can't even think about food without borking! Wanted to get some cleaning done today too... x

Whiffle77 · 28/03/2020 13:52

Hey guys. I was on the Feb and March threads, and am now 4+1 I think. Found out on Wed. Feeling ok, very tired and like I am hungover every morning though!
Very pleased but also very anxious about another MC (lost at 8 weeks at the beginning of Feb) and very worried about what this virus will mean for us preggos! And of course concerned about the virus for the country generally...so just all round worried 😂
Had planned to have a reassurance scan at 8 weeks but that is probably out the window I guess.
How is everyone else finding things? It's a strange old time!

BecsterG · 28/03/2020 15:58

Congratulations @Whiffle77. I hate that constant hangover feeling. I still have it now at 14 weeks. Welcome to our pregnancy thread. I was in the nausea MC group after a miscarriage in November. It's an exciting but anxious time but try and enjoy it as there's no reason to believe you're not all good this time.

You should still be able to get a reassurance scan ether through EPU or paying privately. I managed to get two with EPU because of last time and also because I have a heart shaped uterus so worth asking. I also contacted one of the private scan places at the end of last week to see about scans as my husband wasn't able to come in for the dating scan and I'm guessing this will all be going on in a months time for the 20 weeks scan. They said they were still running and only one person was allowed in with the pregnant person so worth looking and seeing.

What is going on just now is crazy. Just stay at home and I'm your garden as much as you can. I'm also doing a walk every day with my family for my sanity but follow the 2m rule whilst out and about.

Whiffle77 · 28/03/2020 18:18

Thanks @BecsterG appreciated the welcome! I am trying to think positively like you say - and I probably feel a bit less anxious than I did when I was anxiously ttc and feeling lost after my MC! So that's another positive I guess!
Had a bit of a google and most of the private ones round me are shut now, I may try epu but also dont want to put more strain on hospitals if I dont need to! I wouldnt have one for a few weeks anyway so will see what happens. Just hoping this is a sticky bean 🤞
Thanks, I'm def staying home dont worry - enjoying a walk with my husband every day though because we have a dog, so that is keeping me sane! Especially now I cant have any wine haha! All the chocolate instead 🙂
Hope all is going well for your pregnancy, you must be pleased to be at 14 weeks!

BecsterG · 28/03/2020 18:32

Yes so far so good for me thanks @Whiffle77. I didn't think I'd get to this stage tbh but so pleased I have. I've relaxed a little bit now which is nice.

Yeah the walk does keep you sane. Helps my little boy too. He loves playing hide and seek at the moment hunting for trolls! Ha ha

No wine is a bugger. I'm gagging for some just now. I smelt my husbands glass last night and did have a sip. Couldn't help myself.

OP posts:
ChampooPapi · 28/03/2020 20:02

@FireflyGirl and @AlviesMam, so good to see you both here, we are on a different kind of rollercoaster now together, but I am so glad we are riding it all together 💜

@BecsterG I hear you on the wine front! Non will pass my lips until about 35 weeks when I'll start caving and having a a few glasses here and there (obviously don't mean here and there every day way). But although I had January and February dry I had a very wet March ! So the excuse of pregnancy is a very good one for my body, mind and spirit not to go for anything boozy at all.

I'll be green around the gills in a week or two so that will help stave off any temptation 🤢🛋️

That's my diying on the sofa emogi combo btw

ChampooPapi · 28/03/2020 20:05

@BecsterG and your little boy sounds so cute hunting for trolls, so adorable. He's going to love have having a sibling, and if he is unsure you could always say it's a tiny baby troll 😆

BecsterG · 28/03/2020 20:18

@ChampooPapi welcome to our board. Congratulations. It's lovely to see so many ladies coming over from the other board.

Ha ha my wee boy is cute when he wants to be. To be fair he's been brilliant so far and we've been in lock down for 11 days so far.

OP posts:
AlviesMam · 28/03/2020 21:01

Getting a lot of stretching niggles/mild pains tonight.
I have literally spent the full day in my pjs!! It's made me go crazy not having a walk out with the dog today my husband had to do it!
Back with the night time nausea probably won't get much sleep. I'm sick of myself moaning!! But I guess this is the place to vent!!
Welcome @Whiffle77 I'm sure I recognise your name from previous threads! Glad to see more of us getting our positives! Smile

BecsterG · 28/03/2020 21:47

Don't worry about moaning @AlviesMam. All I did was moan from 6-9 weeks. It's so horrible. I hope it passes as quickly as possible for you and you come out the other side.

OP posts:
Whiffle77 · 28/03/2020 22:38

Hi @AlviesMam I recognise yours too! Dont worry about the moaning, that is pretty much all I do onthese threads 😂 I figure we all have similar ish feelings at the minute so it's all good! A PJ day is important every now and again i think!
Glad all going well for you @BecsterG Smile

AlviesMam · 29/03/2020 11:13

Anyone else notice veins appearing more blue and noticeable?!

FireflyGirl · 29/03/2020 13:48

I haven't yet, @AlviesMam, but I remember getting them on my boobs last time. Due to increased blood flow, apparently.

I'm 8+3, Whiffle and still feel hungover. And nauseous.

I was chatting with the school mums on WhatsApp last night, and they were posting photos of their Saturday night tipples. I'm not a big drinker normally - still have a garage full from Christmas - but I would definitely be having a drink at the moment!

ChampooPapi · 29/03/2020 14:09

@AlviesMam oh my god your hardly moaning! Woman carry on. Anyone expressing themselves and being honest here about their feelings and symptoms is not only totally aloud during this crazy time, pregnancy wise & house arrest wise! But also very brave
We are often expected as women to suppress the moan, we must encourage it to be let out on here, otherwise where else! ♥️

BecsterG · 30/03/2020 09:51

@AlviesMam I find that some nights when I got to bed the veins in my boobs are really obvious and sometimes aren't. Weird. I never felt my boobs with my DS but this time I can't wait to get my bra off at the end of each day!

Well it's another week ladies. I hope you're all well. X
