Catching up with TTC after MC thread January 2020

Hi Ladies, hoping you all can join soon. The TTC (trying to conceive) after MC (miscarriage) January group have been so supportive I hope we can keep it up for those who have BFP (big fat positive).

Hope you're all doing okay ladies. I had my third (??!!) scan on Wednesday and it was all good. It was my first transadominal one and it was so clear and lovely seeing baby moving around! I've another scan in 2 weeks to check that the skull forms as it was a bit early on Wednesday.

I think I'm feeling a bit better. Actual sickness is masked by the tablets but nausea is better. I'll be trying to stop the tablets and see if it's gone soon.

Ihad my booking in appointment with the scan. It was quite hard as previous losses were talked about and documented. But the midwife couldn't initially add this pregnancy onto the system as my first miscarriage was still live as a pregnancy and said I was 33w2d which was really hard to see. The IT department sorted it but it was just not what I needed!

That's hard that your last pregnancy was still active. I wonder why it wasn't closed down with your MC. I hope you're OK and focusing on this pregnancy.

@Zoey36 you're not far behind me. I'm 11+6. We're almost in the second trimester. It really can't come fast enough for me.

Hi ladies
I've got my booking appointment through. The midwife won't be seeing me until I'm 11 weeks! I've had an early loss and a loss at 22 weeks... this means my first scan will be put back too. I've phoned and voiced that I'm unhappy about this. It states on nhs website that booking appointments happen 10 weeks or under. What are your thoughts?

@Zoey36 I had a similar problem but it was to do with the app that this trust encourage you to download during your pregnancy, it’s still showing all the details of my last pregnancy and showing that should be 19+ weeks, it’s upsetting when you’re already anxious to have things like this to sort out ☹️

@AlviesMam that’s frustrating, did they give an explanation for why they weren’t seeing you until 11 weeks?

@AlviesMam did they say why? I would have thought they'd give you an early scan. Definitely see if you can get it moved forward.

@AlviesMam that does seem very late given your history. I would keep calling until I got a response.

Hi Ladies, is anyone experiencing headaches? I've had one every day for a week now. Just when one thing eases another comes along!

@BecsterG yes! I've assumed it's cos I need to drink more water, I think I had the same thing when I was pregnant with my daughter, if I remember rightly I used to get dehydrated really easily

@raspberrypickle I wondered about that. I drink quite a lot but maybe I need to drink some more.

Night time sickness is in full swing. Was up all night with nausea and sick three times!

My booking appointment has now been moved to Friday this week instead off 11 weeks which I'm happy about :)

My all day sickness is kicking in with a vengeance now. Everything from smells to sounds makes me feel ill

Congratulations on 12 weeks @BecsterG I haven't had headaches, but I've read many people do have them. More water is always a good idea!

Thank you @BecsterG and @raspberrypickle!! I'm excited but have tested very early, AF wasn't due until the weekend so I think I'll feel a bit more confident once I've passed that date!

I was exactly the same. Pretty sure I POAS every day until I was due and for a week after. Ha ha I got my BFP at 9DPO so about 5 days early.

@BecsterG that's great a positive showed on only day 9!! I'm 11DPO, I'm going to do a digital next week for reassurance and then try to not stress about it. Easier said than done though I'm sure, I feel like everytime I go to the loo im going to be worried about seeing blood.
